Thats not Neil Hannon thats Christian Quermalet singing, with Yann on piano. But this song was written by Neil Hannon and Yann Tiersen together, and i believe Hannon has released it as a B side with his vocals on the single 'Perfect Lovesong' from the 'Regeneration' album. And Yann has released it as an instrumental track on his Amélie film album.

of course the chords are the same... I just wanted to say that this is le jours tristes and...well it's nonsense to say that it doesn't even sound like les jours tristes...I mean, there's yann playing on that stage, and the singer was chosen by him in person.

moreover I think that Christian Quermalet interprets greatly les jours tristes.

song and music are different, and you can say you like more the music than the song but...well, you can't even compare them...
