  • @69AMCSST thank you

  • Love your videos on MTD Snow Blower repairs ..sure helped me repair mine. I had to replace both Auger belts and the Rubber Friction wheel..great Job you are doing..fantastic!

    Paul

  • That is essentially a CVT type transmission. I seen the same setup on a 1901 Orient 1 cyl runabout at Ft. Edmonton Park. It would be nice on a modern car! Except it would have to be on a bigger scale! I just got a new MTD 26" with a Powermore 277cc engine. I seen MTD's video on these engines. I hope they are reliable.

  • who do you get your carb parts and other things also. any certain vendor?

  • @gdc241 i have a distributor and also mowers4u dot com

  • HOLY SMOKES! That thing has a serious set of shoes on it! How many inch cut is that?

  • Probably a stupid question but why not use lithium grease on the wheel axle insted of the oil out of the can? Is there any significance to it ,or is the oil good enough and lithium overkill or more expensive?

    Thanks Don !

  • @kimokanka lithium is expensive or u can use regular grease for the axle

  • I'm thinking that using gasoline as an inexpensive cleaner may be dangerous. Might be better to use a cleaner/degreaser.

  • @whitegreg56 gas isn't really that dangerous unless using on a hot engine whilst your smoking. As long as you do not use to much is not dangerous. degreaser is very expensive and is made of mostly gas and flammable products. i have al ways used gas by putting some on a rag. i would never pour it onto what i am cleaning. it sometimes works to use a metal tin and fill it with gas then put your parts in that , it cleans then real good. however after than put on wd40 to stop it rusting

  • When you replace the friction disk, do you need to adjust the cable to the friction plate?

  • @cnaray sometimes, not always though, if it rubs on the plate then i loosen the cable

  • CAN U USE LOW TEMP GREASE INSTEAD OF LITHIUM GREASE ON THE SHAFT?

  • @Smallgasengine1 yes but lithium is better
