you can fix your dvd drive just buy the exact same dvd drive off of ebay or somewhere and take your old one apart and take the main board out of it and put it in the new one so you get passes the security updates but you'll have the new hardware

You don't. He is just going to be flashing other drives in the future. They will not disappear, that is why he is doing it.

cofree i gotta question...i am planning to flash my already flashed samsung ms25 drive(currently has 1.4)...i got sata cables today and i dissambled and took out the hard drive. And im good with programming, and ill learn from your vid... question is ... do i have to put my drive into a certain debug mode or mode-b in order to flash? What is the point of that connectivity kit i'm seeing? As long as they're both touching pc and drive, I shouldn't run into any problems right?
