Neil is good within the abilities he was given and can execute some VERY practiced drum parts, BUT he's no Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, JoJo Mayer, or need I say......Buddy Rich, among many others. Peart's a very smart guy, and it's his intellect that's compensated for his lack of God given ability that has produced some pretty impressive work!

I love it when Neil plays traditional grip. He started doing that during the "Test For Echo" period of Rush but lost track of his progress with it shortly after. It would be great to see him play a lot of traditional grip again on the next Rush album.
