"Alone" isn't a depressing concept to some people. Depends on whether you lean more toward introversion or extroversion. Everyone is both to some degree. Since he brings up the concept of accepting the reality of duality, why don't we ever hear anything about manic emos? If "emo" means "emotive," then why is it associated only with depression and never mania? Maybe mania is the realm of the psychobilly.

I would consider myself goth on the basis of being partial to the darker aspects of life; however, this being my main complaint against the subculture, it takes too much effort to maintain that certain "look" characteristic of goths. That is to say, dressing in a particular way to denote membership to a certain group may have its merits, but I would think that those who are truly "dark" will see how utterly pointless is to care about such a frivolous matter.

I just saw Voltaire live in Richmond....let me tell you, I love this guy more than ever 'cause it's was the first time I saw him. His show is amazing and he takes the time to greet his fans after the show and just be really cool.

Feel alone and then go to a goth club. Sounds cool. I think there are 2 floor goth clubs now. One floor is bumping up moderns industrial while the other floor is more about gothic rock, darkwave, and deathrock which I would go to. Id go to both in the end but id like to chill for a bit and talk with people.
