The big thing is, America's Next Top Model has to be a LIKEABLE person. Melrose was an good model, but her personality was a HUGE turn-off. She was just far too cocky. CariDee was quietly confident. She knew she was doing well. She also had a fun personality, not an abrasive one. And all those who see it as harsh that Cari ripped Melrose's dress, it was ACCIDENTAL. She didn't step on it to ruin her, it was unintentional.

CariDee deserved it. Melrose's personality was an off-putting feature.
