I don't want to see modern animation and "heartless computer anime" I just want to see the real story just as Ikeda-Sensei wrote it down. And please, don't make a happy end, this just wouldn't be the real and authentic Oscar and Andre story that we all love!

She was no hero that just went ahead to the Bastille, she was scared and was missing Andre. And that's so great because it makes her very human! Her words in the manga "Reißt mir das Herz aus der Brust, ich bin auch nur ein Mensch" (sorry I have no english translation; this is in the manga before heading to the Bastille).

Well, I hope the remake will at least try to give Oscar and Andre more depth as the original anime...

I would like to see a remake since I don't agree how Osamu Dezaki & Co from TMS changed the story and didn't even give Oscar and Andre a chance to live out their love. Besides that, I believe that somehow the characters of Oscar and especially Andre appear much deeper and much torn in the manga as in the anime. It's such a pitty that you don't even notice in the anime how tear appart Oscar is because she feels the revolution will come and she will have to fight!

Who wants to see our beloved series spoiled with todays *barf* animation style? No thanks. I´d rather Berusai no Bara belonged to the fans to remember as beautifully refined as animation style still was back there, than have another screamy shallow heartless anime produced in todays animation factories. Made by heartless computers and writers who only are after fast money for merchandise.

honestly one thing that I regret about the original ROV it is that I wish Oscar and Andre had more time being a couple and that I hoped they live a whole life after the revolution..the ending was sure to extract tears and it made the anime even more memorable but if given the option,I like it to be shown again on tv(the Original)then have a happy ending in the end..

@InesiCirri I'm also a big fan of ROV..your right the original is amazing and for me it is still and will forever will be the best..If they are going to make a remake and will not live up to what the Orginal ROV then better not make any remakes at all or else it may just spoil ROV's mark in anime history..

@InesiCirri This is from a game. not from a movie. it has nothing to do with the remake. The actual short preview that is on the web is much better and we don't even have it in a good quality. I myself have given up hope that a remake will happen but if it does i will be more than thrilled.

Maintenant que je revisione ça...je voudrais faire passé un message à toutes les fans françaises de Lady Oscard. "il n'y aura pas de remake". Non et encore non, ce que vous voyez sur les images recolorié, n'est que des parties de cutscène pour un jeu sur patchinko japonais (sorte de machine a sous) et non un éventuel remake du dessin animé. Je sais qu'il ne sagit pas des images du remake car les seuls qui existent sont celles de la BA que tu peux voir sur youtube .Mais le remake est bien toujours d'actualite avec la Toei .(d'après leur dernier compte rendu)

Je dois rencontrer Mme Ikeda le mois prochain et je lui poserai la question sur une date eventuelle de sortie du film comme ça ,on en aura (enfin) le coeur net !

oui au remake mais a condition que les personnages soient aussi bien dessiné que dans lady oscar de 1980 et surtout avec les voix de Oscar et Andrée, car toute la puissance des emotions étaient du au jeu des comediens qui doublaient , sans ça je ne veut pas car je n'aime pas trop les remake de olive et tom et encore moins celui des chevaliers du zodiaques.

Je suis tout à fait d'accord, Nadine Delanoë a été fantastique dans le rôle d'Oscar et Eric Legrand a été fabuleux dans le rôle d'André.

Je ne peux pas imaginer ces deux personnages mythiques dans une nouvelle adaptation animée de Lady Oscar sans leurs voix françaises d'origine.

Ils devraient d'ailleurs se dépêcher de le réaliser ce film, surtout que mme Delanoë n'est plus toute jeune.

i'm not sure i'm too fond of the thought of a remake, i loved the 70's version of the rose of versailles, i think an updated version 40 years later would ruin it
