  • I'm so getting a CITIZEN DICK t-shirt made up!

  • I didn't like that much the movie either ,but something made me watch it a second time :D

  • @Cornelia66666 was it the music? because I always find the soundtrack to Singles was actually better than the movie itself

  • @TAG037 I'm guessin that your right.It's the music...

  • Thank you so much! I love this movie and this version of the song.

  • Tomorrow we rock Portland!!

  • Am I the only one who don't like this movie?

  • @Justeatmytoast yes.

  • @mark310391 Thanks God I am. There's any good documentary on rock music, so as a fan of alternative/grunge music I'm disappointed.

  • @mark310391 Or rather any documentary on ALTERNATIVE rock music.

  • @mark310391 what movie?

  • @Justeatmytoast no, you're not the only one. i'm a fan of all these artists very much in the movie but.....i dont know.....this movie didnt do it for me......this movie kinda almost makes me embarrased to like this music......

  • @Laminateddeffect It's awful of the fact it doesn't show the truth about Seattle, grunge scene. Also, almost all the bands in this movie has nothing to grunge and are not grunge. Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam - perfect examples. Another one's like Soundgarden were grunge just at the start (For example Soundgarden's Ultramega OK). So I was really dissapointed when I saw Tad Doyle in this movie, because TAD is amazing. This movie is just a shit showing wrong grunge fashion.

  • @Justeatmytoast It wasn't a documentary,Laminateddeffect said it best,"A mediocre romantic comedy".Directed by CameronCrowe, who at16became the youngestRollingStone reporter. It was filmed in early'91 but the studio held off releasing it until deciding how2MARKET it.Still,it's just a movie woven 2gether w/GR8 music&aGR8 backdrop set in Seattle at the perfect time in early'91.WarnerBros.w/out Crowe who refused,turned"Singles"in2a sitcom on NBCcalled"Friends"

  • @apokryphos117g Maybe I said it wrong. I didn't thought about grunge movies as documentaries, I just mean this film doesn't show the truth about grunge, it's a lie about grunge. By the way it used to be some kind of documentary, because it's inter alia about grunge scene and the Seattle scene. And, by the way #2, it's the most awful thing in this movie, that someone wanted to make a love story in grunge style.

  • @Justeatmytoast The soundtrack was GR8,but,until you mentioned it,I never thought of it as a "grunge-movie" but that's what it was going4,publicity or not,CameronCrowe USED the Seattle music scene as the whole background4the movie,2 weave it 2gether.I guess it was that bad if I didn't see it.I watched it again & the only thing I can say is,although I watched it,I didn't really watch it the 1st time. The boob-job?WTF?I guess she made a lot at the coffee shop.

  • @Laminateddeffect I just mean there's no more good grunge documentary than "Hype!", all this shit like Singles just shows how stupid dumb media made grunge as looking dirty, skinny and bony, top models like Kate Moss in flannel's costing 1000 dollars and perfectly made as dirty jeans trousers and new, clean converse's. Mainstream SUCKS.

  • @Justeatmytoast uea i just think its a very very TACKY film. I still like all the music in it though its just that i feel this movie sheds a bad light on what "this genre is all about" im not saying i know what the genre is all about but i feel like this film showcases "lifestyle" & "fashion" behind it....Take that away, its just really a typical mediocre romantic comedy in disguise...

  • @Laminateddeffect I totally agree with you.

  • @Laminateddeffect And also I was really proud of Nirvana, that they didn't act in this movie. Good choice.

  • @Justeatmytoast How old are you?

  • Comment removed

  • @apokryphos117g I posted it be4 I finished.I asked your age2see if you expected2 much from the movie.I didn't back then(I'm 35) but I do now.

  • @Justeatmytoast That would be "doesn't." And yes, you probably are.

  • @clallseven Of course I am. And you're another 40 year old, and got boring and old?

  • @Justeatmytoast 34 and I have a boring job so I can be a fuckin riot in my free time. Balance is the key to life.
