  • "And all the books you've read have been read by other people. And all the songs you've loved have been heard by other people. And that girl that's pretty to you is pretty to other people. and that if you looked at these facts when you were happy, you would feel great because you are describing 'unity."

    <3

  • I feel infinite.

It led me to some great music and what is now my second favourite book that I've read - and trust me, it's hard to get into my favourites.

  • @EqualityThroughMusic What's your first favourite?

  • @radioactivecakeX The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery. =) It's a lovely book but completely pointless if you don't understand it.

  • Charlie brought me here also.

    Good song<3

  • It's such an amazing feeling when you read about a song in a book then come and listen to it. It becomes inifinite when you realise that there are other people who've done exactly the same thing.

  • Thank you, Charlie.

  • Charlie brought me here.

    & The Smiths are AHMAZING.

  • Emilie Autumn played it as awesomely as they did.

  • This song makes me feel.... infinite..

  • The Perks Of Being A Wallflower-amazing book it was so good this song makes me feel ":infinite" :) ♥

  • wow depressing song he sounds a little suicidal but i still think morrissey is cool

  • not like the same style but the feeling behind the songs. like its coming from somewhere besides the person playing the instrument.

  • this reminds me of the song Once by van halen.

  • @tgm5150 comparing the smiths to van halen is unforgivable. period.

  • i also heard this song by reading the book perks of being a wallflower i havent finished the book but its veryy interestinng(:

  • Charlie Sent Me.(:

  • i heard about this song through the book The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, which is a great book. and this song is very good as well <3

  • i don't understand how the kid is a 'wallflower'- he has a solid group of friends who take him to lots of parties, the recognition of his teacher, and he likes trendy music and books?!! most of the stuff he encounters is very mildly dysfunctional. i don't get how it's a life changing book

  • Wallflower means you stand off to the side and let people live and work around you. You don't involve yourself much, and you just want everyone else to be happy.

  • imma use this song as part of my suicide note........

  • Found out about this song from the book "the perks of being a wallflower".

    Great book... Even better song.

  • @ctodap707, way to quote the book. :D great book

  • @arlet44 Asleep was written by Johnny Marr and Morrissey, and recorded in London in 1985. It features on the compilation albums The World Wont Listen and Louder Than Bombs, and originally appeared as the B-side to The Boy With the Thorn in His Side. originally composed (in simpler form) as a coda to Suffer Little Children.

it was only performed live once by the group (Inverness, on 1-10-1985)The song ends with a music box playing Auld Lang Syne.

  • I also found this song because of reading perks of being a wallflower. its a very lovely song. :) x

  • I know everyone has different interpretations of this, but for some reason I get death outta the lyrics....idk. Maybe 'cuz I found this song off the book "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". I actually kinda like this song...even if the lyrics are depressing.

  • omg! im reading "the perks of being a wallflower" and thats whyy im listening to this song too!(:

  • Yeah... about the lyrics, I listened closely and maybeee the last bye is actually mother. It could be... I don't know for sure. But don't let that take away from the listening experience :).

  • an Amazing some by an amazing band ^^

I really wish someone would sing ME to sleep though...

It's so amazing how music can just touch your heart so mush.

  • perks of being a wallflower = wonderful book

this song = okay song expected better

  • haha yeah i found it from Perks of Being a Wallflower too

I don't think Chbosky was trying to say this is the best song ever, I think he was trying to show how Charlie was relating his feelings through music. Because this is exactly how he felt throughout the book.

  • yeeah i reread a few of the parts he talks about the song and I can see what you are saying ,

  • sakuragaarafan91 if you believe everything you read on the internet i've got 40 Nigerian Lottery wins I must send you.

  • I think if you think this song is "depressing" then you've never been there. To me, it was lifesaving because I suddenly realised I wasn't the only one that felt this way.

  • Exactly, Janine.

  • It's awesome how books can lead you to good music, too. In Perks of Being a Wallflower I knew some of the songs, but I looked this up after I read it and it was a great song. If there is anyone who hasn't read this book you should, it's amazing, and quite moving.

  • perks of being a wallflower.

  • exactly lol

  • stvarno vrlo predivno ..
