@RPGrimreaper Australian Shepherds are not born with naturally docked tails. There is a chance for them to be born naturally docked. Aussies actually have very beautiful tails and the next one I get I will ask the breeder not to dock. And the reason they used to dock them was to help with harsh working conditions that would normally cause damage and cause pain to the dog. It is breed standard to dock. In some countries like Sweden it's illegal to do cosmetic surgery on an animal such as docking.
do they really have docked tails?!!! i thought i had an australian shepherd til i read that!! will you help me identify what breed or mix u think my pup charles is?
Thanks! I feed him Orijen Puppy. It is rated the #1 Dog food for 2009. It is fabulous. I also 2 days a week mix his food with wet dog food or chicken+broth. Another thing I also do is take the free samples of premium dog food that are in specialty pet stores (Evo, Innova, Wellness, etc), and sprinkle a layer of that every meal. That helps with variety and his stomach to be able to handle different foods. But I would definitely recommend Orijen...pricey, but worth it. Good Luck!
I would strongly reccomend feeding raw food instead of kibbles (whatever the brand)! I feed my dogs raw meat, bones and organs (I also have an Aussie puppy btw) and it is the most natural food for your dog.
what does wokka weigh in this video and is he a pure australian shepard
