In 2002 i was scheduled for my 3rd c-section(not just because.i was unable to birth my first child after 48 hrs of labor. So no vbac)longstory short i went into labor 2weeks early and my dr just said to wait its probably false so i waited 12hrs in the hospital.Finaly she got that i was in LABOR..After first incision my babys head had came through my previous uterine scar! Dr came in my room after birth and casually told me if she had waited 5mins more-we would have both died! Watch out for DR's!
My husband sells suits and he was helping this guy buy a suit for a funeral. He was going to give his condolences and asked who had died and the guy said his wife had died during child labor. When he was telling me the story I ask "That still happens?". I thought we were past that... The thought of dying during child birth never crossed my mind when I was pregnant. Now I may be more wary in my future pregnancies.. :\
