First of all to kill a zombie you only have to damage it's brain not destroy every piece of it. Also by shooting the steel arrow into it's head your definately destroying other parts of the brain.

Protip: Zombies don't need a prefrontal cortex. The part of the brain that you'd destroy is responsible for executive decisionmaking, personality, morals etc. None of this is used by zombies.

Better to reverse it and pierce the throat instead, breaking the neck or damaging the brain stem.

The spike to me looks like it needs to be a inch or two longer, just to be safe.

I would make it more into a spear gun sort of thing, a longer spear that is spring loaded, to fire you jab against a target to trigger the release, giving you safer distance. Kind of like a boomstick for killing sharks. Also it would be easier to use under stress perhaps?

It's good but it would only work on 1 zombie at a time and you'd want to keep out of contact with them for as much as possible. Also there would be a spray of blood which would go directly onto your face and you could accidently swallow some and you'd most likely be infected! But it could be a great weapon in 1 on 1 combat if you had some kind of a shield attached to it to stop blood spray and for extra defence great design!

I have build several arrow shooting slingshots. It works, but the power is poor. Arrows are to heavy even for strong rubber, and the draw is limited to the arrow length. Also, arrows are expensive, fragile and bulky. I like steel or lead balls more.

Well, there is a regular slingshot attached to it as well. I can hit a Zombie head from 20 meters with it. But in general, you are right, close range. But not as close as a club.

Der Ansatz ist sehr... phantasievoll..... .Der eher kleine übetragene mechanische Impuls wird aber das Gehirn nicht zu einem Zombiebrei zusammenschmelzen lassen sondern nur einen kleinen Teil der Frontallappens zerstören - dort sitzt das Bewusstsein - und das haben zombies ja nicht mehr so richtig.... . Da würde eine sich verformende Murmel aus der 45er vermutlich mehr Matsch verursachen. Gut das es Zombies nur zu Halloween und in Filmen gibt....

Da es keine Zombies gibt, werde ich diese "Waffe" wohl niemals anwenden. Wer wäre denn so dumm, sich dieses Teil an die Stirn pressen zu lassen? Wie ich auf die Ideen komme, kann ich nicht genau sagen. Diese Schleuder basiert auf einer Szene in "Land of the dead" von Romero. Der Held hat eine federgetriebene Bolzenwaffe, die er im Nahkampf einsetzt.

Ich sag ja nicht, dass du diese Waffe bei einem Menschen anwenden wirst. Woher sollte ich auch diese Annahme herholen. Ich gucke halt immer deine Videos und frage mich, wie man auf die Idee kommt, solche brutale Waffen zu bauen, sie dann aber einfach nur rumstehen hat. Das ist für mich das komische. Ansonsten sage ich ganz einfach, jeder soll das machen, was ihm Spaß macht. Du bekommst ja auch viel positive Resonanz!

Bei mir ist eben das Krieger-Gen stark ausgeprägt, deshalb habe ich Freude an Waffen. Das ist bei vielen Menschen so, die Evolution hat dass offenbar so hervorgebracht. Aber wie die allermeisten Waffenfreunde befolge ich die Gesetze, baue also legale Zwillen anstelle von illegalen Feuerwaffen. Ich benutze sie übrigens auch, nur schiesse ich auf Gegenstände (Zielscheiben) und niemals auf Lebewesen.

Wenn ein Liebhaber von Waffen dieser Liebhaberei nachgeht ist das doch in Ordnung, wenn Niemanden hierdruch grundlos gefährdet wird. Andere haben zu Hause Schwerter rumstehen, Pfeil- und Bogen oder eben andere für die Hobby- / Sportausübung geeignete Waffen. Andere sammeln eben gerne Ü-Eier und erfreuen sich hieran, oder fahren gerne Fahrrad oder spielen Trompete.

Waffen sind als neutrale und leblose Gegenstände per se nicht böse oder brutal - es kommt IMMER auf die Art der Anwendung an!
