Steve early albums always make me think of Glen Campbell. This song is like "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Your Memory" sounds like "Southern Nights", "Kansas City Lights" is like "Galveston" and "All Roads Lead to You" is like "Wichita Lineman".
Ironically, Glen Campbell put out a bunch of songs in the 80s that sounded like Steve's stuff, once Steve had developed his own style.
He even had the same producer as Steve and recorded a duet with him.
This song came out in the spring of 1981...reminds me of my very first DJ job...WONW1280 Defiance, Ohio. I remember the song well. I was nervous opening up my mic. Steve's voice 'soothed' my nerves. Thanks Steve. GREAT SONG MAN!!!
I remember when this album came out, even though I was just 11 years old. I'm now almost 37 and it's still a great song as well as the whole album. Thanks for the memories.
ACC's #59 song of '81. God bless ya, brother Steve! Thanx for postin' it. Have a blessed week!

This song sounds like a tribute to Glen Campbell's " By the time I get to Phoenix" and I love it.

a real guy with loads of talent.
You know you got 'it' when you put out a country album not wearing a cowboy hat and talking like you got a mouth full of chaw even when you don't.
style,talent,class..you definitely got "it" Steve!
