masking is pretty easy once you get it.. though it can be annoying as hell.. you basically mask following the movements of the thing you're masking and add more keyframes and stuff o3o

you'll get used to it. okay seriously. just.. try and make a background with pictures/video clips
play around with them. you get really familiar with pan/crop and effects so just try it and show me the pic and i'll help xD
