@Bolt323 U are wrong and ceep your stupid comments in your stupid head, this guy is not mature enough to teach martial arts and specialy for "street fighting " that is my opinion !!!
@eairapet86 People who say stuff and believe following it up with the "this is my opinion" will help automatically open themselves to be criticized since others people have opinions on everything too, even "your" opinions. So if it's "your" opinion and you don't want anyone to talk about it just don't say it!Everybody has freedom of speech to talk about anything in america so save the it's my opinion thing cause it helps nothing!

@eairapet86 very true he is a novice at best. soon as i seen his stance i knew everything else would be bad. he is a young kid and if he tried this on the street wth anyone who had the slightest bit of knowledge on fighting he would end up hurt very badly. get your money back from you trainer. sorry for being this way but you are extremely far away from being able to give advice or teach anyone. you have extrememly horrible technique
I do muay thai for 6 years and taekwondo for 3 years. I can straight up say to things. Street wise with hands in his other videos for close combat, he knows what he is doing, strikes like kicks and jab cross, he is a miserable mess. People doing muay thai for a month can do it better than him. Im guessing he just owns the shorts and hits that bag in his backyeard alot. Theres no real experience i see. Im not hating im not trying to be big.
Hey thanks man helped me alot, ive been taought that stuff beforte by teachers but its allways good to see it getting explained again and what to watch out for :)
@gussk8e WTF i can understand what you are saying but no dude lol noooooo. its actually better to kick with the same striking hand or you have to throw your his allll the way opposite side. Dont learn from a backyard fighter.
@gussk8e I also fight for a living ive been in thailand for the last 2 years. Listen, Normally the hand to foot combo is left right, 9keep right hand out after punch to block opponent) then right kick. Thats basics. fundamentals of muay thai, if you dont know that then your a shit fighter, or your not a figter at all.
@gussk8e "if you punch with the left, kick with the right. if you punch with the right, kick with the left" Thats opposite from punch with right kick with right...... you said punch right kick left. :/ Im sure it was an honest mistake. continue.
@MartialValor Are you saying it's correct to kick and punch with the same side? Because that's wrong. You're supposed to kick and punch with opposite sides for more power.
@gussk8e I also fight for a living ive been in thailand for the last 2 years. @asianG313 if you can avoid the fight, but if you're forced to fight back then just defend yourself. since he's much stronger as you say i suggest you attack his legs, like in the video; you saw the push kick right? do that on his knees. weight really isn't a big factor in fighting. for the leg kicks you probably won't know how to do em correctly but try to kick his thigh with your shin.
@gussk8e dude ive done maui thai 4 acouple of years but ji jitsi is the way all fights evently go 2 ground and size means nothing there mma is the way take him down hug him and hook his leg use ur wieght to fall on him a punch his face in but u need practice it is not as easy as that but you will learn shit tins in a couple of months if u r 4 real
@joosyjnugget wtf are you talking about sciatic nerves? and those gloves are called bag gloves buddy. they're meant to be used with punching bags. boxing gloves are for fighting or sparring. and that isn't what you learn in one day bc he does it with proper technique so this guy probably has about a year or more training at the time of this video. you have no idea of wtf you're talking about. and why are you even watching this video in the first place?
@asianG313 definitely, maybe one kick won't do anything but three or 4 leg kicks will probably do alot! of damage. leg kicks are safer aswell bc you dnt have the risk of getting your leg caught. only throw body kicks if you're 100% certain that you'll land them. so practice leg kicks alot. more convenient in a organized fight and a street fight specially.
@gussk8e wanna bet i have dropped dudes with 1 good kick to the lead leg in a street fight fake the jab smash the front leg every time well most of the time anyway practise never kick higher than the hip
@TheEyesontheprize Yeah same here. Americans being americans often don't expect a solid low kick and a jab cross fake followed by low kick was enough to drop most dudes. Gotta love that low kick.
I'd offer to say that the high kick should only be used when the opponent is exhausted and guard is weak. An unexpected high kick at the end works rather well
@asianG313 it all depends on the person. i have the same problem in a way. like after you kick with your right leg for example you're supposed to punch back with the opposite side but i prefer to punch with the same hand that i finished kicking. it all depends on the person so don't worry you have to practice it. practice throwing jab and right kick, then jab cross and left kick. or kook and right kick. try to get that momentum going it'll helo alot. this guys is good; gives really good advice.
For everyone talking crap.. if you were that good then youd be teaching others how to fight.. and you also wudnt be watching other peoples videos to learn or to improve your kicks..
@asianG313 I find that it's about personally comfortably, I'm a south paw and as one you are supposedly supposed to be using left crosses but the cross is my worst move, I stick to 2 jabs and then a left body round kick
after that if they are still not down I'll take a penetration step and head kick
you should do what ever feels best because you will never truly be able to master a move if you can't do it comfortably
For the purpose of demonstration this is a decent video, anyone saying he is "poo" or has no balance has obviously never instructed.
I don't agree with some hand positions during his kicks but dependant on your speed it becomes more viable (he's obviously quicker than me, lol)
He has good control over his legs, Muay Thai is an extremely strong style, my issue with it is, it is a very telegraphed kicking style, but very good instructional video!
You do know that you can't always do a 360 turn when you do a kick on an opponent right? You should've demo-ed a kick to the bag and then a shin block. I'm got nothing against you man, I mean your executions of your kick is good but I just saw one thing you missed that's all.
WHAT THE FUCK1!!! did u seriously looked at this video before posting it?? besides the fact that u really don't have the strength to actually ko somebody u don't even know what the fuck ur doing. work on your forearm muscles so you could punch the bag without gloves u fucking retarded 3 days karate trained retard
@DeadliftXI So while you r on the ground choking a guy out what is stopping his friends (who r still standing) from kicking and stomping you ? What is to stop someone breaking your fingers while you try and choke them or biting u or gouging your eyes. The street is not the UFC goin to ground is not a good idea, avoid the fight if you can, if u can't try and set up a good hit to the jaw ,with your fist, elbow or head or a good kick to the knee or groin. Just my opinion, peace !
@DeadliftXI it depends. i've actually used leg kicks in fights before and work quite well. you just have to get them right before they try to close in on you. once you get them with a good kick they'll start getting paranoid of kicks and try to back off and not get to close. i've seen it and i've experienced it. if they come close use knees. doesnt matter if you're the hulk. you get kneed in the stomach good; you're fucking going down. if he doesnt go down then keep on going till he does.
ur leg is too straight when kicking. and kick through the bag to get power. and dont just let ur leg drop after the kick, u gotta be more snappier with the kick! :)
absolutely terrible. dont try teach people how to kick when u dont no how to urself. u aint hurting anyone with that kick. and point ur tow up when u block otherwise ur gonna get ur leg broken! rookie error
That kick seems like a good way to never walk again properly.
If the opponent to the kick used his left arm to lock the leg against his body, a quarter turn to the left, drop to the right knee, right elbox driving down his right knee, would bend his knee completely backwards and break it instantly.
90 % percent of the people who think they are better than this guy are probly fucking retarded..my guess is he competes a lot..and would drop all you mother fuckers with one kick
@masnew underestimating an opponent is the easiest way to lose a fight, i bet half of the idiots who say they could easily beat this guy have never even had a fight in their lives
I admire your spirit, but please don't fight like this in a real fight, you'll just get hurt. I agree with runebolt that muay thai kicks could end a fight instantly, but unfortunately your techniques arent quite there yet. Try not to drag your leg as you bring it back, if your doing a round house it needs to return the same way as it went out. Keep Practising Though Dude. Respect
zomg. you kidding me.? mauy thai kicks could end a fight in seconds..Im doin kickboxin n mauy thai i should know..This guy has a ok vid actually you should leran from it so you dont end up on the ground like you usally do..
One muay thai roundhouse kick to the liver and it's done, I kinda like the old style muay boran kicks because you are not snapping back you are following through. Plus you use the top half of your shin. Good video man keep it up, bullies and thugs beware.
street fighting; at least one foot solid on the ground, you fall your most likely fucked, obsticles on the ground, the quolity of the ground (wet). kicking dangerous! plus you dont have the room for it. careful now, ladies, hahaha! i need sleep.
i think that to many ppl my coment would be idiotic but i think that its better to not do any kicking during street fights unless ground kicks or kneeing into a face cause human isnt built to use legs for kicking only footwork, most ppl that i fought who used kicks they ended up lying down on the ground
it depends on the one kicking and the one facing the kick, due to the quality and speed of the kick you can win or lose a fight... someone untrained shouldn't but someone who has been training a lot on kicks is ok to use them and they can be really effective
Yeah, you are entirely right. A well placed, fast kick to the head can be a 1-hit KO, especially if you are facing the typical street thug. A weak, predictable kick can be caught and then you are in trouble; against the same typical street thug
These tips for an untrained normal person are good basics but if you try roundhouses you'll get yourself in trouble. Stick with the low kicks to the lower leg and thigh, with power these can knock your opponent of his feet or unbalance him allowing you to attack. The pain will make him think twice too.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
where do u train plz . i want to come teach you form and understanding of muay thai b4 u try and teach it. your very disrespectful by what your doing i dont think you even know it. u need to learn b 4 u teach son. stop putting up these videos asap
not necessarily true. I agree there won't be a lot but experienced fighters us a wide variety of quick kicks. Watch the groin kicks to haha. I also agree that head kicks are very rare and that this kid should not be teaching them hahaha.
i can see by the shorts you train Muay-Thai. The only thing I don't particulaly like is the dropping of the rear hand during the round kick. everything else was on point
Well this is how it's done in muay thai. Just watch some muay thai fights and you can see them "dropping" the rear hand when they kick. This is just to get more power for the kick, it helps rotate the upperbody more.
oh I know all that. I trained Muay-Thai for a few months under Master Chao-Ri-Noy in Asheboro NC. I understand the power increase, but it leaves you head wide open for a guy to stuff the kick and hit you with a hook. but to the guys highly trained in Muay-Thai, this is a very quick motion, so counters rarely happen. but for the average street fighter, i don't suggest leaving any room for a counter. one shot is all it takes
I would say it takes one year of training before a fighter can throw a pretty decent and strong round house. When done correctly, it's not easy to counter the kick with a punch before the kicker has come back to his normal stance, due to the power of the kick.
I do however agree, that kicking in general is not a good idea for a streetfight. I'd stick with boxing, clinching with knees and elbows, wrestling and bjj.
when i takle them i get in close enough so if they steped back i could still jump at them so since i jumped throught the air they wont be able to kick in the face
People may mock these videos. I think its because of 3 reasons: 1: he's young 2: as a boxer he'd be a lightweight, he's not big. 3: the instruction is in casual surroundings, non of this formal karate sensi worshiping crap...however, all of his advice is very good. I train in the best Muay Thai school in scotland (ok there aren't that many!) but what he says corresponds to the training in our lessons. This guy knows his stuff, and I would gladly take lessons from him.
i do muay thai too im very good at it too, but i just think this shouldnt be street fighting advice because in a street fight you can do anything you want too win, and iv only actually had the chance to throw in one head kick out of all the street fights ive had
yeah i guess it really helps if you can punch while stepping backwards like walking back and quick step punch because they always come at you as if theire tough and that way you avoid getting hit, rear naked choke and guillotine choke has helped a few times, if you want to end the fight without dameging fist, (im not allowed to fight outside my dojo unless self defence)
well... this is basic... Learn Muay Thai - the best striking sport. MMA is good too, it involves grappling and striking so it should work on the streets. of course you might want to end the fight until it comes to grappling because you dont want to get your clothes dirty... just kick the thug in his solar plexus, head or testicals ( no extra points to your manlyhood on this one though...). also learn to hit the right arterries in the neck with grappling
The Coeliac Plexus, also known as the Solar plexus, is a complex network of nerves (a plexus) located in the abdomen. The celiac plexus is located near where the celiac trunk, superior mesenteric artery, and renal arteries branch from the abdominal aorta. It is behind the stomach and the omental bursa and in front of the crura of the diaphragm, on the level of the first lumbar vertebra, L1. I'm surprised you don't know...
For a street fight, I would say that it will be effective to use a left round kick to the liver. It doesn't require a lot of power to force the other guy out, and it doesn't require a lot of flexibility =]
To the person in the video do u compete in muay thai? also maby show them body and leg kicks if these videos are targeted to people who dont know much about fighting and they dont have a teacher they probably couldnt kick someones head or just not properly anyways but good vid :)
Trying to kick someone like that is just stupid. One, it will not even hurt them much if you do connect [which i doubt you will] and two, it is soooooo easy for them to grab your leg, and then you are fucked, they will simply flip you on your arse and beat the crap out of you. Like have a look at 6:20 What is that going to achieve?? they will block that just by having their hands in their pockets!!! but then they will easily grab your leg and then kill you!!!!
I agree, a good kick in the nuts would also work, but that is very easy to block too. I do not think much of trying to kick someone anyway, because when you are standing around on one leg, is when you are most at risk. No, leave all this kicking nonsense for the movies!!! Besides, all this kicking crap is for the stupid foreigners!! A good boxer will just blow then away!! Go up to mike tyson and stand on one leg all fancy like, and see how hard he hits you!!!!!!
Actually someone well trained in martial arts, could easily take down a boxer because they mostly defend their faces and mid sections. A Muay Thai fighter would easily take them down with techniques that are designed for fighters stronger and larger than them, hence why they use the knees and the elbows to fight.
ive trained in muay thai for 7 years, and its agreed boxers get lost if you get them in a clinch, this videos a load of shit because street fights are nothing like this
U r an idiot if u believe that kicking someone like this wont hurt just look up "Mirko Cro Cop " and if u do it properly they wont have enought time to catch it and a fight is not lost once its on the ground thats what jui jitsu is for and if someone were to have there hands in there pockets and u kicked there arms they would not be able to fight after that
Yes, i see what you mean, but do remember two things; most of the people this Mirko chap successfully kicks in the way you describe, seem to have dropped their guard, by dropping their hands. This Mirko seems to be some kind of champion too, not just some big mouth street idiot. so just cos he can do it successfully does not mean that the average guy can. Say you tried to kick another champion like, say, Mike Tyson this way, he would not get caught, and he would blast you out of existence then!!
Also, this Mirko fellow is obviously very very fit and strong. Yep, it would hurt if he landed one on you!! But as i said, he is not the average guy in the street. Still, like i said, for the guy in the street, he is MUCH more likely to catch you with a fast straight left, than trying to kick you in the head!! Say i [average joe!!] had to fight some big powerful guy, i will keep both feet planted firmly on the ground thank you!! I would be in enough shit without standing on one leg!!!!!!!!!
T.T i like to use kicks in fights....and i usually get more damage on my leg than the person...one time the guy blocked my kick with his elbow, which really killed my leg...is there any tips in which i can kick better?
u need to condition your shin to take the pain and make your bone stronger. this can b done by long term practise on a hard kick bag and drinking lots of milk
cause if you get caught or you miss you're pretty much fucked, only the best of pros use them in "real" fights (ufc, mma), the trend is rather to use low kicks to unbalance your oponent or to cause their legmuscels to seize.
There are many ways to street fight, but hardly any of them employ high kicks, the risk is just to high, one mistake and your out, if you land on your back you can kiss your ass goodbye
muay thai is a good martial arts for proper fights but I think (and I'm no expert) that Comand Sambo and Krav Maga (no idea abot the spelling) are your best choices for the real deal
i bet chuck norris watches your videos and worries.

Just my opinion, peace !
onetao8 1 year ago
@DeadliftXI it depends. i've actually used leg kicks in fights before and work quite well. you just have to get them right before they try to close in on you. once you get them with a good kick they'll start getting paranoid of kicks and try to back off and not get to close. i've seen it and i've experienced it. if they come close use knees. doesnt matter if you're the hulk. you get kneed in the stomach good; you're fucking going down. if he doesnt go down then keep on going till he does.

That kick seems like a good way to never walk again properly.
If the opponent to the kick used his left arm to lock the leg against his body, a quarter turn to the left, drop to the right knee, right elbox driving down his right knee, would bend his knee completely backwards and break it instantly.

Respect

One muay thai roundhouse kick to the liver and it's done, I kinda like the old style muay boran kicks because you are not snapping back you are following through. Plus you use the top half of your shin. Good video man keep it up, bullies and thugs beware.

i think that to many ppl my coment would be idiotic but i think that its better to not do any kicking during street fights unless ground kicks or kneeing into a face cause human isnt built to use legs for kicking only footwork, most ppl that i fought who used kicks they ended up lying down on the ground
bulldogg1111 2 years ago
it depends on the one kicking and the one facing the kick, due to the quality and speed of the kick you can win or lose a fight... someone untrained shouldn't but someone who has been training a lot on kicks is ok to use them and they can be really effective
Koloportos 2 years ago 2
Yeah, you are entirely right. A well placed, fast kick to the head can be a 1-hit KO, especially if you are facing the typical street thug. A weak, predictable kick can be caught and then you are in trouble; against the same typical street thug
BaxterPad 2 years ago
But if you KO him after 3 secs, you lose the fun of
kicking his ass totally.
McQueenRLZ 2 years ago
in a street fight you wana finish fighting as fast as possible and get the fuck outa there or his friends will gang up on you
iducatifan 2 years ago
These tips for an untrained normal person are good basics but if you try roundhouses you'll get yourself in trouble. Stick with the low kicks to the lower leg and thigh, with power these can knock your opponent of his feet or unbalance him allowing you to attack. The pain will make him think twice too.

watson2523 2 years ago
i can see by the shorts you train Muay-Thai. The only thing I don't particulaly like is the dropping of the rear hand during the round kick. everything else was on point
BeastModeV1 2 years ago
Well this is how it's done in muay thai. Just watch some muay thai fights and you can see them "dropping" the rear hand when they kick. This is just to get more power for the kick, it helps rotate the upperbody more.
gabbah79 2 years ago
oh I know all that.
BeastModeV1 2 years ago
I would say it takes one year of training before a fighter can throw a pretty decent and strong round house. When done correctly, it's not easy to counter the kick with a punch before the kicker has come back to his normal stance, due to the power of the kick.
I do however agree, that kicking in general is not a good idea for a streetfight. I'd stick with boxing, clinching with knees and elbows, wrestling and bjj.
gabbah79 2 years ago
Oh, but lowkicks are a good idea I think. They really have a devastating effect on the opponents leg, and are not very risky to throw I would say.
gabbah79 2 years ago
yeah if u throw one good strong leg kick when there leg isnt tighten up expecting the kick.. it takes the fight out of them lol

in a fight all i do is takle the person then ground pound them
wallyworld94 2 years ago
So what if the person stepped back and kicked you in the face?
sarkenx 2 years ago
when i takle them i get in close enough so if they steped back i could still jump at them so since i jumped throught the air they wont be able to kick in the face
wallyworld94 2 years ago
what if you jumped in the air and the guy foot trust you right in the face...that would be pretty funny rofl.
laserbyte 2 years ago
if you jump through the air its easier to get a knee too the head and then you loose power because your not touching the floor

Remember, in street fights there are no rules, just win.
BUT, it does help if you know how to fight. Thanks for the video =)
hunterofall 2 years ago 4
People may mock these videos. I think its because of 3 reasons: 1: he's young 2: as a boxer he'd be a lightweight, he's not big. 3: the instruction is in casual surroundings, non of this formal karate sensi worshiping crap...however, all of his advice is very good. I train in the best Muay Thai school in scotland (ok there aren't that many!) but what he says corresponds to the training in our lessons. This guy knows his stuff, and I would gladly take lessons from him.
theMAXILOPEZpsycho 2 years ago 3
i do muay thai too im very good at it too, but i just think this shouldnt be street fighting advice because in a street fight you can do anything you want too win, and iv only actually had the chance to throw in one head kick out of all the street fights ive had
2007niko2007 2 years ago
exactly so use real skill to win other than the other guy whose throwing slopy kick and hooks while you r connecting all your hits
myshoes247 2 years ago
yeah i guess it really helps if you can punch while stepping backwards like walking back and quick step punch because they always come at you as if theire tough and that way you avoid getting hit, rear naked choke and guillotine choke has helped a few times, if you want to end the fight without dameging fist, (im not allowed to fight outside my dojo unless self defence)
2007niko2007 2 years ago
well... this is basic... Learn Muay Thai - the best striking sport. MMA is good too, it involves grappling and striking so it should work on the streets. of course you might want to end the fight until it comes to grappling because you dont want to get your clothes dirty... just kick the thug in his solar plexus, head or testicals ( no extra points to your manlyhood on this one though...). also learn to hit the right arterries in the neck with grappling
slowmousin 2 years ago
Solar plexus?
flix831 2 years ago
The Coeliac Plexus, also known as the Solar plexus, is a complex network of nerves (a plexus) located in the abdomen. The celiac plexus is located near where the celiac trunk, superior mesenteric artery, and renal arteries branch from the abdominal aorta. It is behind the stomach and the omental bursa and in front of the crura of the diaphragm, on the level of the first lumbar vertebra, L1. I'm surprised you don't know...
slowmousin 2 years ago

Jeffrey4286 2 years ago
For a street fight, I would say that it will be effective to use a left round kick to the liver. It doesn't require a lot of power to force the other guy out, and it doesn't require a lot of flexibility =]
MistehbigPants 2 years ago
To the person in the video do u compete in muay thai? also maby show them body and leg kicks if these videos are targeted to people who dont know much about fighting and they dont have a teacher they probably couldnt kick someones head or just not properly anyways but good vid :)

Jblaze123420 2 years ago
Trying to kick someone like that is just stupid. One, it will not even hurt them much if you do connect [which i doubt you will] and two, it is soooooo easy for them to grab your leg, and then you are fucked, they will simply flip you on your arse and beat the crap out of you. Like have a look at 6:20 What is that going to achieve?? they will block that just by having their hands in their pockets!!! but then they will easily grab your leg and then kill you!!!!
caerleon87 2 years ago
what you really want to do is a downward thrust into the shin or knee cap
jobxforxaxcowboy 2 years ago
I agree, a good kick in the nuts would also work, but that is very easy to block too. I do not think much of trying to kick someone anyway, because when you are standing around on one leg, is when you are most at risk. No, leave all this kicking nonsense for the movies!!! Besides, all this kicking crap is for the stupid foreigners!! A good boxer will just blow then away!! Go up to mike tyson and stand on one leg all fancy like, and see how hard he hits you!!!!!!
caerleon87 2 years ago
You can keep living in your fantasy dream.
newjersey02 2 years ago
Actually someone well trained in martial arts, could easily take down a boxer because they mostly defend their faces and mid sections. A Muay Thai fighter would easily take them down with techniques that are designed for fighters stronger and larger than them, hence why they use the knees and the elbows to fight.
sarkenx 2 years ago 2
ive trained in muay thai for 7 years, and its agreed boxers get lost if you get them in a clinch, this videos a load of shit because street fights are nothing like this
2007niko2007 2 years ago
U r an idiot if u believe that kicking someone like this wont hurt just look up "Mirko Cro Cop " and if u do it properly they wont have enought time to catch it and a fight is not lost once its on the ground thats what jui jitsu is for and if someone were to have there hands in there pockets and u kicked there arms they would not be able to fight after that
tokyowhiteboy 2 years ago
Yes, i see what you mean, but do remember two things; most of the people this Mirko chap successfully kicks in the way you describe, seem to have dropped their guard, by dropping their hands. This Mirko seems to be some kind of champion too, not just some big mouth street idiot. so just cos he can do it successfully does not mean that the average guy can. Say you tried to kick another champion like, say, Mike Tyson this way, he would not get caught, and he would blast you out of existence then!!
caerleon87 2 years ago
Also, this Mirko fellow is obviously very very fit and strong. Yep, it would hurt if he landed one on you!! But as i said, he is not the average guy in the street. Still, like i said, for the guy in the street, he is MUCH more likely to catch you with a fast straight left, than trying to kick you in the head!! Say i [average joe!!] had to fight some big powerful guy, i will keep both feet planted firmly on the ground thank you!! I would be in enough shit without standing on one leg!!!!!!!!!

cause if you get caught or you miss you're pretty much fucked, only the best of pros use them in "real" fights (ufc, mma), the trend is rather to use low kicks to unbalance your oponent or to cause their legmuscels to seize.
