Really brings back memories .Back home in kenya when i was a young. I especially liked the dancing kids and the guy in the skirt made of banana leaves.
@nabonwe And they were not enslaved in a Country where white people will do anything to Human beings to get big plantations, big cars, and girls. I guess the Hip Hop artist learned from the best huh?
Now that is Soukkous!! Watch and learn. Tchico and his wonderful band taught me how when he first came to perform in Melbourne, Australia in the 90's - remember the Moreland Hotel anyone?? P
I love this clip. I live in Brisbane but met Passi Jo in Melbourne recently to buy some Tchico CD's. I was amazed to find them living in Australia. I'd love to know more about heir time here and Soukous music in Australia.
yes, she is absolutely adorable. and the teams of women are inspiring, such beautiful smiles. i watch this every day for inspiration. thanks so very much, idamawatu.
My-o-my, how times have changed! The male dancers look cool, but to tell you the truth, I'd like one of those women for a wife ...especially from those dancing at the end of this video.
this is the best highlife - the best stuff. the very best. everybody dancing. everybody in the neighborhood. to the really good dancing music. everything dances, even the grass & the leaves in the trees. the scintillating guitar work is fabulous. the groove is right on.
Idamwatu, do you more music by Tchiko Tchikaya? There was the famous Soukous Machine Album with songs like Marie Rosa. Is there anyone out there who can give us more of Tchiko?
Lingala is the most beautiful African language. When Ali fought Foreman in Zaire around mid '70's, the natives told Ali to kill Foreman: Ali boma ye- Ali kill him. However, this music is in Swahilli, another popular East African language.
The most interesting dance africa video i have seen in years, been watching it ten times aday, would really love to own the video. fantastic dancing moves.
That was soooo awesome I laughed and cried at the same time- sweet! The little girl in the yellow skirt is adorable and the guy with the belly rolls and muscle pops- he's just wow! Wish it were longer...
Idamawatu you are a legend man! This piece takes me back to primary school man! we use to skipe class on fridays to go and watch this music and others !! Thanks again

Hahahahaha!
So you like to be in nature?
So why don´t you live in a mudhut in Congo but in Great Britain?
You should say bye-bye to Europe and go to Congo to live in a mudhut, you´re free to do that immediately.
But you prefer to promote a way of life you don´t live for yourself.
That´s silly.
