Peter, if you're reading this: Pull your kid out of the CT public school!!! I went to public school in CT and they SUCKED! It's part & parcel of liberal elitist hypocrisy: they all send they're own kids to private prep schools and let the public schools rot with lousy teachers unions and bureaucratic government waste. But hey, it's no skin off their backs, their kids are at Choat, learning how to become the next Chris Dodd or Teddy Kennedy.

You put your kid in public school? Really Peter? I attended public schools and college all my life (only because I had to) and am lucky I got out without being completely brainwashed.

I'm sure your kid will do fine too, but when it comes to your kid's education, even Obama has managed to recognize (at least for his own daughters) that the public schools are total bullshit.

There are comments here about how schiff can't win even though the commenter likes him and thinks he is the best candidate (e.g. a lion vs jackals...) Remember that you get to vote and speak your view. Arm yourselves with the right ideas, the right philosophy. Know (with precision and depth) your economics, and present it to people who are capable of understanding it. You don't (and shouldn't) need to try to proselytize when ppl aren't interested, don't force the ideas down people's necks.

But let people know when they assume your ideas are the same as theirs (e.g. 'well minimum wages are important') and if they are interested explain it more fully. If they aren't interested then it will at least undermine their confidence when spouting that position.

The better you know your economics and - even more importantly - the morality of free markets, the better you can canvas for him and advance the cause of laissez-faire economics.

He can't do it alone, speak out for him.
