  • Banjo kazooie songs. That made me happy.

  • I tried recording footage of me playing a game on steam, but when I went back to watch the video it was flashing alot and was out of sync, does anybody know what the problem could be?

  • where do the videos go? becouse i made a few test vids and i can't find them

  • @Otanashi1 I'm pretty sure if you're using CamStudio that you get to choose which directory you save your videos to after you record them. Try saving them to your "My Videos" folder, if you have one.

  • Umm... is CamStudio free? If not, is there any free recording software like that?

  • @ktofthedx21 Yeah, CamStudio's free. If you can't work with CamStudio, I'd suggest trying HyperCam 2, which is also now free.

  • how do I set it to record audio from the emulator AND my voice from the microphone?

  • @orangeninjadaniel Open Audacity, hit Edit, click Preferences at the very bottom of the list, and in the Devices tab, under Recording, select your microphone and make sure your microphone is set to record in Stereo instead of Mono. Open up CamStudio, hit Options, select Record Audio from Microphone, then go to Audio Options for Microphone and instead of using your microphone enable Stereo Mix on your computer and select that from the list. The video explains how to turn Stereo Mix on.

  • @LordxOfxThexMariosx I don't have audacity; I was going to use windows media player

  • @orangeninjadaniel I have never used Windows Media Player for recording nor am I even sure you can do that, so I can't tell you about that.

  • @LordxOfxThexMariosx no not for the recording. I was going to use cam studio for that. WMP was for any necessary after-edtiting. Do I need Audacity to record it along with Camstudio?

  • @orangeninjadaniel You don't edit videos with Windows Media Player. I think you mean Windows Live Movie Maker.

Anyways, I'm not entirely sure if you need Audacity, but it's miles easier for me to use that than it is to use the "Record Audio from Speakers" function on CamStudio, which, as far as I can tell, is almost broken. I've never used Windows Media Player or Windows Movie Maker for recording anything, and Audacity is completely free, so I'd try that instead.

  • wait where do you go to to get this screen here 2:01

  • @MrNintendoBurger There's a little Speaker icon at the bottom right corner of the screen if you're using Windows 7. Right click that and select "Recording Options" and it should bring you to it.

  • FACK GAMESTOP!!!!!!!!

  • I use camstudio but it constntly makes my lp lag.... WHAT SHOULD I USE :L

  • @chimcharFinn1203 You could try HyperCam 2. If that doesn't work, get a better codec for either CamStudio or HyperCam 2 (preferably something like DivX) and configure the settings on the codec so that the balance between speed and quality says "3." This can usually be done in the Video Settings/Options tab.

  • Does Audacity still crash alot? And do you know how to fast foward and cut sections of video, and do you know how to increase a certain section of the video's brightness (I'm planning on making a Minecraft let's play)?

  • @Tehpillowstar

    A) Yes, Audacity does crash every once in a while. Nnot sure if the 1.3 update got rid of that, but I'll have an annotation up if it didn't.

    B) Depends on if you're using Windows Movie Maker 2.6 or Windows Live Movie Maker. Which one are you currently using?

  • @LordxOfxThexMariosx

I dunno. I use Windows XP, and I can't tell since everything is in korean, and I can't speak korean that well.

But everything looks kinda new, it's not ancient or anything.

  • @Tehpillowstar You can only speed up sections of videos with the newest WIndows Live Movie Maker or Movie Maker 2.6.

I'm not sure if there's a brightness option, but I do know that you can cut sections of the video by going to the "Video" tab and selecting the "Split" option. Scroll the black tick mark to the point that you want to cut to in the video and hit "Split" again. Split's also in 2.6, but it's on one of the tabs at the top.

  • do you have to have audacity to make a lets play

  • @pollosbro Technically, no, but if you want to record both the game and your voice (without paying anything), then yeah, you'll have to do that.

  • How to can I hear both output and input in LP's. i only hear the input

  • @MoviesAndTuts Saving the sound file in Audacity as a WMV file (MP3 doesn't work), going into Windows Movie Maker (or another video editing software program) and adding the commentary in.

I assume that's what you mean, unless you're talking about watching actual Youtube videos, in which case, I'm not the man for the job.

  • @LordxOfxThexMariosx no i want LIVE commentary and post commentary plz.

  • @MoviesAndTuts From who? Me? Yourself? Your recording? Please be more specific.

  • @LordxOfxThexMariosx no from me. ill explain it all over again okay? so im making miecraft Lp's and when i record with FRAPs it only lets me record my voice. how do i make fraps or other recording programs make it so the viewers can hear both my voice and the game sound.

  • @MoviesAndTuts There should be a checkmark option in the "videos" tab that enables your mic. If that's not the case, check and see if [the correct] microphone is selected in the drop down box (if there is one), or if it is enabled. I don't use Fraps, so I can't help you much, but I do know about the microphone checkbox, so try the things I suggested and if it still doesn't work, look for a video about how to do this in Fraps, because it will have a lot more information than me.

  • Ok i have pj64 and cam studio but how to i get roms to play on pj64 =(? i downloaded a rom hack off of mario world center but when i try to open the hack in pj it says it cant =<?

  • @xoxolettersxoxo Google up Emu Paradise or Coolrom and you should find websites with loads of ROMs on them. Download whichever ROMs you want, and save them into a ROM directory (that is, save them in a folder specifically for storing ROMs, you have to create a folder beforehand, but you can put it anywhere you want on your computer). Open up Project 64, click the "File" tab and click "Open ROM" or "Load ROM" or whatever, and it should load up the game.

  • Any idea how i would do a dual-commentary with someone that DOESNT live near me?

  • @Dizturb3dWun Again, Skype works wonders here along with PrettyMay or Pamela Call Recorder. Both of you need to have them, but they're free and really easy to use.

  • How did you get the comments on the screen like that?

  • @DVON2211 Screen capture. A la the "PRTSC SYSRQ" key, then I right-clicked and copy-and-pasted the image into Paint and cropped it down.

  • I would also like to say that he's using Windows 7, so some of the options are different than usual on other OSes...
