  • Anyways is a beautiful song, meant for the moment. Considering the chaos that struck Africa during the time, it was hungry for greatness.

    Also the last lines

Sound the call to come together

    And united we shall stand

Let us live and strive for freedom

    in South Africa our land

    Holds legendary in musical history.

  • The first time to hear this version of the anthem, but it was a masterpiece though. Still prefer the Afrikaans one.

  • Which one is Francois?

  • @villalba874 The one on the right who was too excited to sing it out.

  • @chinesespeakwelsh Wow. That guy is big.

  • @villalba874 Ja, and he's a legend.

  • soccer = sucker

  • It's so american, the hand on the heart, the looking all sad and patriotic like you've personally won a whole war for your country. It's so ungenuine to my opinion.

  • @imagineaboringlife they are very proud to play for their country. only very few people get that opportunity and especially to be part of such a momentous occasion. don't comment if you have no idea what you are talking about

  • @hanros98 Whatever dude, I'm not saying they're not, I'm sure they're very happydappy. Still to MY OPINION I find it all silly. Because it's just MY OPINION I don't need to be an expert in human emotion and the great great sport of rugby or football whatever this was again because it is MY OPINION. Get it?

  • @imagineaboringlife O.K but what makes you think people want to hear your opinion. sometimes if you don't have anything nice to say, it's best not to say anything

  • @hanros98 This is youtube, no scratch that, this is the internet, opinions are everywhere and people voice them in this place. As long as you are polite and correct there is nothing wrong with that.

I also don't agree with your second line. Criticism is important in the world. Where would we be without it? People grow through criticism. Maybe not in this case but I believe I have done no harm by voicing my opinion. If it made you sad, angry or uncomfortable, it is your problem, not mine.

  • @imagineaboringlife fair enough

  • Unfortunately the match will always be clouded in suspicion, but the final result was the best thing for a rebuilding South Africa. The All Blacks were apart of something bigger then rugby that day.

The 2011 All Blacks may have won the world cup, but 1995 All Blacks were far superior, even though they losted they played rugby I have never seen before not even today. From 1 to 15 they were virtually unmatched.

Congratulation Boks, you were better then us on the day

  • This is an epic rugby moment and there is no comparison with soccer, soccer will never create the felling that just rugby can give us... Sucker = Soccer

  • @maureen2225 and Šuker was a great football player. thanks for your opinion

  • @maureen2225 ever heard of the miracle of Bern? I think its very similar to this one.

  • @maureen2225 as a german i have to say you are talking utter shit. the 1990 world cup was similar for us.

  • Best. Rugby. Moment. Ever.

  • why dose this version have a longer afrikaans ending?

but now it is shorter and in english

  • An historical moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i was still at highschool when this game was on and was sad after the game but now we are 2011 Rugby World Cup CHAMPIONZ :)

  • @georgieboi097 Yes Congrats to the "All Blacks"

I have a video from New Zealand when I visited 10 years ago

  • Ons sal lewe, ons sal sterwe Ons vir jou, Suid-Afrika.

  • God bless nelson mandela - a hero of my youth :-)

  • Why didn't Pienaar sing? At least Die Stem van Suid-Afrika

  • @chinesespeakwelsh According to him he was too emotional and he knew that he would have burst into tears if he sang

  • @chinesespeakwelsh because the emotion, that he said in various enterviews //Por la Emoción, lo ha dicho en varias entrevistas

  • @jacastroh muchas gracias. el equipo fue una leyenda.

  • WOW, I remember watching this game as a kid with the whole family back in 95 in nz, but I didnt remember the anthem part. Great anthem!

  • Good luck to You Joost ... <3

  • Invictus? =D

  • The new NZ anthem sounded just as amazing as well. This black choir was incredible. It set the tone for the most intense world cup final ever.

  • A very powerful moment. I notice James Small was the only one not singing Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrica. Is there any reason for that?

  • @MrSydneyKing I imagine that he didn't know the new anthem. Even now, when you listen to the crowd singing the South African anthem, they sing much louder once the Afrikaans and English bits start. I'm sure there is nothing 'political' in it - it seems logical that you won't sing as loudly in a language you don't speak/understand.

  • @Peacecap Yep, makes sense. Amazing clip. I was actually at this game. I'll never forget it, unbelievable.

  • What a moment that was!

  • @rosannephelan Yes it was !

I taped the win of RSA in the African Cup of Nation in 1996. I will post it someday.

    Thanks for your visit

  • @sofarsogut i hope you do
