Early Megadeth is Thrash but they started to change when Metallica did but they are all coming back to their thrash roots. Slayer is just the God of thrash because they rarely slow down and when they do it still heavier then most bands.

i dont really think Megadeth is really thrash either. Only a few songs by them are thrash. To me thrash metal is fast loud vocals,extremely fast solos and usually fast alternate picking or gallops. master of puppets has all of it expect for the alternate picking. but most Metallica songs either use gallops or downward 8th notes. unlike slayer who usually uses alternate picking 16th notes or extremely fast gallops like raining blood.
