LA could do with a light rail system, I think it's density and sprawl is not ideal to support a true subway, but with light rail running over streets and next to businesses, it would revitalise and reduce car traffic.

@mornnb Actually, subways are actually better than subways because subways are shown to actually REDUCE both sprawl and low density developments.
