I agree with you on this, but the truth is that the judges pay more attention and award skaters for the technical aspects of the competition and this is where American skaters are inconsistant. Sasha Cohen and Michelle Kwon are prime examples.

She is a wonderful skater, and I particularly liked her 'Carmen', and 'I Believe' routines, they showed great depth of soul. This though, shows the fun-loving and free-spirited Miki!

I think she dislocated her shoulder just prior to this, she still feels some pain when performing Bielmann spirals and spins.

Wishing her and team Japan all the very best for the rest of the season.

Actually, a Japanese comedian guy called "Gorie" with a cheerleader outfit covered this song "Mickey" as the title of the song in 2004 based on this original song. And, his covered version was sold #1 in Japan in 2004. Miki's this exhibition was also shown in 2004. Good match and cool!!
