  • This was one of the most moving videos I have ever watched.Danny Gaither did great and I still miss him. But his home now is so much better than here. I would be willing to bet Danny is singing with the angels ever chance he gets.

  • @henarep10 approximately 1,000 of those belong to me. I love both the voice and the heart God blessed Danny with.

  • Just awesome

  • God Bess You, Dannie, RIP

  • WHAT A WONDERFUL RENDITION

  • What a golden voice! God allows challenges to come our way, Dan was no exception but I personally think he passed with flying colors. His voice will echo down the streets of gold for sure!

  • Beautiful,,, There was and will o nly be one Danny Gaither.. What an awesome voice.

  • AWWW SOO SWEET!!REMINDS OF MY LATE DADDY!

  • Beautiful song! the spirit overflows! wow!!

  • I was PRIVILEGED t hear the original Bill Gaither Trio in 1974 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and it was one of the most INCREDIBLE nights of worship and praise I've ever experienced!!!

  • What a precious moment.

  • This is one of the most touching moments I've ever witnessed

  • This song and Have You Had A Gethsemane which always made me cry.

  • I believe that Danny Gaither lived this song. His voice was so beautiful even though it was lower after his treatments.

Tis song is so true. God supplies our every need and the Christian life is so exciting the longer we serve God the sweeter He grows. As we get older and our strength grows weaker the more Gods grace abounds! Our Lord promises never to leave us or forsake us and I know He was holding Danny's hand until he stepped into eternity to be in God's presence. Our Lord is faithful!

  • Love you Danny!

  • God Bless you Danny..you are missed!

  • Ev'ry need He is supplying,

    Plenteous grace He bestows;

Ev'ry day my way gets brighter,

    The longer I serve Him,

    The sweeter He grows.

The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows,

    The more that I love Him, more love He bestows;

Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows,

The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

How can you not tear up by such beautiful words, especially with Danny Gaither singing them, bringing deeper meaning to them. And now Danny is singing them in God's presence.

  • If you can make it through this song without feeling some kind of emotion (joy, sorrow, peace, or anything) then you really need to go back and listen to it again and think about what is being said.

  • The Gaithers came to our church numerous times when I was a kid, I loved to watch my mom as she listened to them and sang along!

  • Every church or group of believers needs to have a Mark Lowry. You know, one amongst us who, with a childlike spirit, follows the urging of the Holy Ghost without thinking. Then moments like this which carry over into eternity are allowed to happen, and we're all given a taste of heaven. In this day and age, beloved, FOLLOW the leadings of Jesus through His Holy Spirit, for now is the time folks are READY for the REAL presence of God in their midst. JESUS is LORD!
  • Danny's music will live forever as a reflection of his beautiful soul. We all miss him. Thank God for the recording of his music and the interviews. His voice and music is a prayer that we all share.

  • I miss Danny a lot. He always sang with such conviction. I always have a chill run down my spine and a tear in my ear when I hear this interview and song. Like right now.

  • Is that Danny's daughter standing on his right. I recognize Vonnie on his left. Great video, All these Gaither videos are a great way to be inspired. I try to listen to one each morning.

  • Each time I see the late Danny Gaither in this interview/video, singing this particular song, I'm moved to tears. What a wonderful gift he and He have continued to share with us for so long.

**Hoover4000** - Thank you so much for continuing to offer these extraordinary Christian videos. It means so much to many of us. God bless.

  • Agreed. Both this song and "Because He Lives".

  • Marvelous song

  • "Driving the bus" won't bother someone with a servant's heart as big as Danny's.....

  • Danny didn't mind this...people should remember that God said that if one wants to be great, they must be the servant of all - Danny has learned that, and in that, he has learned more about Jesus and his relationship to Jesus DEEPENED in that knowledge....

  • I had the opportunity to attend a lot of Bill Gaither Trio concerts in the late 70's. And the high point for me was always hearing Danny Gaither. A voice that was a gift from God. I miss him.

  • I never knew that this was why Danny stopped singing....what a humble man!

  • I am in absolute awe. I never heard this piece. Amazing. So glad that Danny got to sing again. What a total blessing and inspiration

  • This video was so beautiful. What a wonderful tribute to such a man of God. Thank you Hoover! May God bless you!

  • Danny is sure singing up w/the Lord now!

  • This was at Praise Gathering in Indianapolis.

I have been blessed to attend and sing at this event about 8 or 9 times. The best and most touching moment I will always remember is when Danny sang. Thanks for posting this video and Thank you Danny.

  • One of my favorite songs, what a wonderful tribute to such a great man.

  • I'm deeply touched. Thanks for posting this.

  • Does anyone have video of Danny singing 'It is Well with my Soul'?

  • can someone please tell me how he lost his voice?? how come??

  • he suffered from cancer

  • He suffered with Lymphoma. He was promoted to glory in 2001

  • How did he die?????????

  • he suffered from cancer for many years and it finally took it's toll

  • i missed to hear this song its been a long time i never heard this.thank God for using hoover4000 to post this wonderful songs.

  • Mark is a motormouth, but he gets his point across and is one of the best!He is also a friend.

  • I'm not musical inclined, but I know when I like something. He sings so beautiful, God bless the family's Ministry, because I'm blessed.

  • NOBODY!.......could ever sing THAT song like Danny Gaither!!!

    Nobody!! And nobody ever will!!

  • This is so precious. Thank you.

  • That's great. Question though, Gloria said in the interview something about if Danny gets his voice back that she'd sing again. Did I misunderstand her? Does she not sing anymore, if so, I wonder why not-does anyone know? Come to think of it, I only remember her speaking.

  • she used to sing with the trio but i think a mixture of danny losing his voice and bill starting the vocal band caused them to stop touring so gloria didn't really sing anymore, thats what she meant.

  • Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying and for the great clips you post.

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT TREASURE. WHAT A WONDERFUL

TRIBUTE TO DANNY GAITHER. BILL AND GLORIA ALONG WITH

ALL THIER FRIENDS HAVE SURE CHANGED THE PERSPECTIVEOF GOSPEL MUSIC. ALL THOUGH THERE ARE MANY GREAT ONES,

THEY HAVE DONE MORE TO GET GOSPEL MUSIC TO THE PEOPLE

    THAN ANY I KNOW. WONDERFUL!!!bw

  • Tears flow - you cannot help it, what a treasured moment.

  • O man o man o man, the people on that stage that have left such a legacy in this world... What a blessing, what an incredible richness to know a little part of their lives and testimonies!

  • Danny Gaither...wonderful man and huge talent. Just a shame what he had to go through. He's in a better place.

  • I am sure that when this surprise was arranged they didn't know he would soon be gone. And to have his mother weep also--whew!

This is a touching moment that makes even strong ol' me weep.

May the Lord continue to bless the Gaithers' ministry.

  • Such a BEAUTIFUL SONG AND IT HAS A TRUE MEANING TO IT

  • the longer i serve him the sweeter he grows
