pretty, i also raise butterflies but i find my own caterpillars, then i go into the country and release them :D btw, what did you do with the injured one?
@rummienumi I you do catch your own caterpillars, just do some research first to be sure you catch the right kind and that once they change, that they are supported by food you can get for them readily. Good luck!
what did u do with the cage and stuff after you released them? i was just wondering because i was wondering if you order more after because im getting mine soon so i was wondering where do u order more?
@guineapigplace We kept the cage. If you need a cage, many kids toy stores have them or check online. If you need to order caterpillars, we use insectlore(dot)com
That's so cool, I'm just seeing the first caterpillar hanging and sleeping in my own bunch. I trust the others will follow eventually. Problem is I never want to go to bed because I want to keep watching them. They're like my babies.
@OurCrazyFamily4 Well, I took them AND my ladybugs to a friend's house with intent to release them in her garden but it was too cold. So she kept them and fed them until it was warm enough; I asked her if she'd released them last Friday and she said she was going to Saturday (the next) morning. I haven't called her yet to ask about them since, but I have more here with me, 4 cups, 3 different ages. I intend to keep doing this, and I have more ladybug babies too which are getting bigger.

@rummienumi Wonderful. Sounds like you enjoy. We kept the injured butterfly as a "pet" until it passed away, which was not long.
