For people that don't know where Anaheim Hills is. Anaheim Hills is next to the city of Anaheim which is in Orange County.

Chino Hills is nexto the city of Chino which is in Riverside County.

Ya i felt that one here in santa paula...we live in a small lil town close to Ventura....that was the biggest quake iv ever felt....the whole house shook for like 15-20 seconds....then me and my mother got dizzy....it was quite scary at first....out side in our back yard are some trees and windchyms....and they were swaying back and forth like it was a super windy day....it was just freaky...

I felt this earthquake on my way to Las Vegas.. we were driving from Orange County and were about 5 mins into Anaheim, when the veh shook and swerved i was bounced around the back and me and my other buddies freaked on our buddy driving .. we were like you tryin to smash into the guardrail haha, hes like dude i didnt do that, we saw the lanes move it was crazy and then 20 minutes later we here earthquake on the radio!! wow! scary but cool

Yea it sucks the media made such a big deal....but keep in mind also it depended on where you were exactly. I was at Cal State Fullerton and was in an elecator in one of the buildings, and it was about to close and I literally heard a loud BOOM which was the scariest part. I thought it was a terrorist attack...I just got shaken up but I wasn't terrified..everyone at our school freaked!!

that quake was right near my home town (literally, it was in Chino Hills and I'm from Chino) lol anyway, I felt it at school...in Santa Barbara. not the initial shake but the time after when the ground was moving like the ocean. my whole apartment building was swaying. it was cool lol i know that's wierd but whatever.

20 years ago an earthquake similar to the one that happened yesterday in whittier had a magnitude of 5.9 on the richter scale. many buildings were damaged and some were even destroyed. shows how much tougher building codes have become in the last 2 decades in california. amazingly only a handful of people got minor injuries and the worst extent of a damage was mostly things that fell off cupboards, racks, etc. fortunately for the most part the quake was more of a nusicance than a disaster

Keep in mind this was a 5.4? Thats what they are calling it for now. But a 5.9 would of been? About? 6 times stronger (if i did the math right)

yes you are right about that. a 5.9 would be a couple of times stronger than a 5.4 tremor but i can pretty much guarantee you that back in 1987 a quake like we had on tuesday would have caused much more damage than what we saw today. my house was about 10-15 miles from the epicenter and i didnt find a single crack in the house even though the house swayed and rocked pretty hard.

I really saw this coming, because few days ago there where some shaking but it was small you could feel it but not like yesterday's i was so like whats going on, but i wasn't scare because i already experience two big earthquakes one was 6.5 and 6.7 i think and those happen in 2 months in January and February , and idk i got used to after that thats why i was scare, and i know this is weird but i love the shaking ^_^
