I have struggled with a bad temper myself, just try to remember that while Jesus forgives our sin when we repent, the world is watching and listening to us, doubly so when we announce we are Christians. @wainscottikiss continue praying and trust God, my dad accepted Jesus a few days before he passed away. he always believed God was real but never committed his life prior to. he was an extremely generous man without God I could only imagine if he would have had God earlier in his life. I've seen Heaven... I was a distance from it but I could see the city, the buildings I saw were white like marble, white and pure like cream. And from behind and within the city, there was a heavenly light, it was so bright, so wonderful! You could feel the power and the love coming from it, it truly was the kingdom of God!

@Trooperxp Maybe this will help. We are made in his image, just as our children are made in OUR image. That does not mean an exact replica. We "command" our kids to be good & want the best for them & love them anyway when they can't live up to it. As humans we have free will & are flawed, God's children but not perfect like him. We do our best to reflect his "values" to others & up to him, knowing that we cannot EVER match God's greatness, knowing we WILL fail & sin & be loved anyway.

On a side note, I think though that christians need to accept some science as fact. One of the most common misconceptions on Genesis 1:1-31 is that its a literal account. It's amazing how much Jesus cares for us! He was on his way to his death, singing and glorifying GOD because when he died and rose again, all the sins were demolished. Every body was able to gain courage and know that God was always with them, even it times of trouble. And nothing is too big for God. He's so big, he could be in the east and west at the same time!

I have struggled with a bad temper myself, just try to remember that while Jesus forgives our sin when we repent, the world is watching and listening to us, doubly so when we announce we are Christians. It is difficult to do, but we must love our enemies and willingly give them the other cheek to slap.

And from behind and within the city, there was a heavenly light, it was so bright, so wonderful! You could feel the power and the love coming from it, it truly was the kingdom of God!

think about it hell is where all the sinners go, where all the cool people go and heaven would get boring after a while becuase eternal bliss will get redundant while hell will have new activities everyday becuase Satan likes to be original

see lets assume there is such thing as eternity and afterlife for the argument
when things head for infinity, they become relative and eternity is infinity, in more human reasoning, even heaven is going to become boring for eternity, yet fire will eventually burn your nerves and you will feel nothing

@Trooperxp there is afterlife. living with God never becomes boring- ALL of your dreams and desires are granted! but more importantly u r worshiping your God who deserves an ETERNITY of worship!!!! in hell until the final coming you will not have a body so u will have no nerves. plus, even for the sake of arguing, you said you will feel nothing. wouldnt u rather feel the joy of heaven?

@Trooperxp on the cross Jesus shed His Blood for all. in the 1900s there was a priest saying mass. he did not truly believe that the host was the Body,Blood,Soul, and Divinity of God. from that host poured forth blood. a dna sample was taken. the blood was from a 33 year old male (the age Jesus., a man died) living in the middle east (Jerusalem) and the blood type was Type O. Type O blood can be given to ALL no matter your blood type. Jesus shed His Blood for ALL!!!! think about that

God is both able and willing. But, His timing is not our timing, His ways are not our ways. He is Master, The Creator. We are not meant to know His plan. God will have His day. The Bible says in the book of Romans vs 11-12: "For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess that I am Lord.' So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God." Be ready for that day

but according to christians, we were made in gods image, and gods image is supposed to be perfect, and humanity is far from perfect, so gods image is not perfect, there fore god is not perfect

@Trooperxp Maybe this will help. We are made in his image, just as our children are made in OUR image. That does not mean an exact replica. We "command" our kids to be good & want the best for them & love them anyway when they can't live up to it. As humans we have free will & are flawed, God's children but not perfect like him. We do our best to reflect his "values" to others & up to him, knowing that we cannot EVER match God's greatness, knowing we WILL fail & sin & be loved anyway.

so its either he does not want us to be perfect, which makes him evil, or he can't make us perfect which means hes not all powerful

No, we're not perfect, nor omnipotent - I agree 100%! But I don't think it's evil to permit us to make imperfect choices. It separates the wheat from the chaff in some cases, & can you imagine a world without free will? Loved ones don't expect us to be perfect & love us anyway, is that evil? I'm unsure what you see as hypocritical-that God didn't make us as good as he is? He CHOOSES to let us choose, & gave a guide for living the best we can. I used to pick at Christianity & smugly point out

well in an ideal world, a loving parent wants his children to be as successful as they can be, and wants them to be even more successful then him, so then later they can make their children more successful then them ETC
so its either, he can't make humanity successful, or he doesn't want to, in which case he doesn't love humanity

God loves humanity. He gave us free will to experience true love. If he wanted to make everything fine and dandy, he could. He could revoke our free will and run our lives completely. BUT then it would take away from the spice of life. Their would be no true human love, only God's love. It does allow the presence of evil, but the benefits of true love outweigh them. I hope I made sense...

so god is not omnipotent? if he really was, he could do both,with a snap, no weeks no prayers, no taxes
besides love is an intangible instinct that is primarily used for sexual selection to take place, there is really no magic behind it

I'm glad you cleared that up. Its gud to know that there are some smart answers on these pages, as opposed to the idiotic rants of atheists who think that they're smart. On a side note, I think though that christians need to accept some science as fact. One of the most common misconceptions on Genesis 1:1-31 is that its a literal account. According to jewish scholars, its acutally a parable. Look up "Gerald Schroeder: The Six days of genesis" on youtube. God had an awesome plan for creation =D

all the ways it couldn't be, contradicted, was hypercritical, & scoffed at Christians as mindless followers. Life knocked me around for a couple decades, by the ripe old age of 31 I'd had it. God placed people in my life I could relate to, that carried his word, & after a few lightbulb moments- mostly that I wasn't meant to & never could or would understand it all (thus the word FAITH) & learning how to apply words from eons ago to today, I just got it. Love is the core.

Everything man made will fail/has failed...tell me how the son of God was'nt man made and Ill admit dying for a cause would be a smart thing to do. show me the differences in fate between an extremist muslim and an extremist christian. I dont understand how one can hear inspiration and think its not comming from anyone wrong...I could be wrong like always, but God and Jesus dont want me afraid of them...then why does the bible exist? In short you would say "its not my problem"...thats my point.
