John is probably one of the only true Irish tenors...the other operatic tenors are grat too, but this man is a true Irish tenor who has captured the hearts of so many people...Thank you John...It's good to see you again even though on the internet....
@MrPTBowen My wife and I had a chance to meet John a few weeks ago at the Cleveland Irish Festival.Just a wonderful guy and so down- to- earth. My dad also was in WW2,and can be seen at the end of the video.
Hi Lawrence...thank you for your email. John was a performer at Molly McGuire's in Ottawa back in the mid 70's and I actually played while he sang and then the place went nuts and everyone including John danced on the tables...It was a time when life was simple and fun...and humble...thanks again...Have a great day...
@MrPTBowen Dear Sir I not trying to correct anyone but John is a Scott born in my grandfathers home town, Glascow Scotland he later moved to Ontario Canada. But hes awesome just the same , what a voice.
@barmbrackthecat I have no idea where he was living when he was discovered.I personally discovered, what a great singer he was when I first heard him sing with the 3 Irish tenors.
I believe he is one of the few that means every word of his songs. He believes in what he sings. Janet Bowen Cardona
