They are great guitars...no doubt about it...But I have a question/Issue...the string of my guitar are a little bit high from the fretboard..and whenever I'm trying to play a solo or a chord 5th 6th etc etc most of the times my finger get stucked between the string or something like that because of that!IS THERE ANY WAY TO LOW MY STRINGS AND MAKE THEM TO BE CLOSER TO THE FRETBOARD????PLEAASEEE HEELP MEEEEE

Is ,, Tah-kuh-mee-knee '' really how you pronounce it ? It doesn't really matter, I just kinda want to know. Wouldn't it be more like ,, Tah-kuh-mean '' as it's Japanese ? In Germany in German though ( Where I'm from and what I mainly speak ) we pronounce it ,, Tah-kuh-mee-nuh '' so maybe I'm just the weird one lol

@TheEternalLeader the japanese pronunciation would be tah-kah-mee-neh. but depending on where you are you will hear it pronounced with different accents. here in the states it is typically pronounced as the guys in the video pronounced it.

Quick question, what size patch cable does a Takamine electric acoustic normaly use? I have just a standard 1/4 cable and heard sometimes acoustics use smaller (or larger) sizes. I am thinking about getting a new Takamine my self. I played one at my local C.A house and haven't been able to stop thinking about 'em!!!

I tested today two Takamine`s models EG361SC and EG260C...and don`t know which one to buy...I think both are great and have very similar sound.Can you help me to decide which one to buy.What`s strengths and weaknesses of this two models?

@SlowHandManLive the eg260c is bad its not solid top.... the eg361sc has a stolid to thats wait its say cs (s for solid top)

In case you're wondering, the song Brad plays at the beginning of the video is "Not Gonna Let My Blues Bring Me Down" by, you guessed it, Brad Davis. (Great song, btw.) I have this guitar. Great bang for the buck. Like someone said before, you can't go wrong with Takamine.

Not all of their guitars are good. My only experience is with a Takamine Gs-330S and it sounds and plays like shit. You can see me using it on my profile.

That's not to say the one he was playing is obviously a better model...

Believe me Takamine is top stuff.

I've just recently (last year) discover the brand and I was like "wtf is Takamine?"

I have a pretty good Ibanez (acou).. but I respect

Takamine as one of the best (with Taylor, Ovation ...)

Also classic (nylon string) is faaar better than other classic of same price range (200-500 e $).. except of course handcrafted spanish original (Ramirez etc) which are 1000+ e

You can't go wrong with classic Takamine.

All other "cheaper" classical don't have clear enough sound for me.

I was really decided on getting the EG360SC(non black version of this guitar), but then I found the new 2009 models, the EG530DLX and EG540DLX with the solid sepele back and sepele sides.

Any info/reviews coming up on these new guitars, Chris?

I bought this model Takamine off of Sigler Music a couple of months ago. I love and I mean LOVE this guitar. The sound is incredible, and the action out of the box was light. Super nice. Electronics are great too. This is my second Takamine and I have to admit I like the tuner in the other Takamine better but this one is still great. You can't go wrong with this axe. The sound on mine has gotten a lot warmer since the first time I played it. Sharp trebles, deep basses, and LOUD. Great!

Of course you can take off the logo. It's just a protection/layer of plastic.

You will never go wrong with Takamine. Just sold my Taylor 8 series for a Takamine, I missed them so much that I had to get her back. Bought this guitar. Again, Takamine never let me down. Consider them EVERY TIME you choose a guitar.

nope, there is no takamine made in USA. High end models are made in japan. The G series is made in korea or china.

I really don't that that was an actual song.....Brad is careful to not play anything that is copyrighted unless it is his own music. I think it was just something that sort of sounded like a lot of classic rock.......but I will check on it and post up here if I determine that he was actually playing a certain tune.
