Personally, I don't think the train should be put out of commission because of what happened. I grew up riding this and children shouldn't be deprived of the experience because of the tragedy. There's no reason it can't still run with better safety precautions. The people who want it gone are just cynics who want something/someone to blame for the accident.
Uprr838 it was not still moving I think it started falling from the back and I dint think it kept on going cause when it fell,I think I fell fast and when I landed I hit my head on a rock and blacked out so I'm not sure
brysonzig: I sometimes run smaller (7-1/4") gauge live steam trains hauling passengers. If you would, I'm interested in knowing how the derailment progressed. Did the train tip all at once, or did one end tip first? Did people attempt to exit the train while it was tipped? When it fell into the creek, was it still moving? Thank you ... * JB *
This driver is very careful at 1:27 the point where the train crossed the ravine. The track has derailment rails over the bridge like it is supposed to these help prevent derailments from ending up off of the tracks - they didn't work and the driver had to be speeding the date of the accident that killed Benji. What a shame for everyone.
I wad on that when the train crashed and I video taped it with my iPod and the police took and benji was my best friends brother!!! I got freaking 20 stitches in my leg and once I find that inspector I'm going to slap him so hard for the families that had a relative on it and I was on the corinth group
