  • awesome! thanks soooo much!

  • You have the prettiest eyes! They're like doe eyes. :)

  • i dont get why doesnt tyra banks just put her hair over the forehead instead of contour the hell out of it... Just get bangs, thats like the easiest way isnt it? whatever, its not my forehead right..:D

  • you look like my sister, sooo beautifull I love your work

  • Risa, your blog add pls

  • Risa, what is your blog add?

  • @aidazafira it's in the underbar. :)

  • good job

  • Dear Risa,

Could you give me some suggestion on P.O.R.E.S :( I find my foundation looks not good at all anymore, I've been using primers but it doesnt help! any suggestions?????? Thank you!

  • @Karenzr I agree, when I apply my foundation a lot of times, it sinks into my poors. Even when I use a primer. I used the primer by two face, and it made me seriously look like I was 20 years older than I am, gross. LOL. I would love to see a video on how to deal with my pores! Especially the ones on my upper lip. THanks

  • You resemble Magdalena Frackowiak, the supermodel!

  • Oh-oh, it seems someone was outbided... lol XD

    S2

  • @pink70makeup: Oh my gosh! I soooo remember ebay bid assistant and that stupid toolbar LOL

  • Hye!! I like that video and the tips...

One thing but... all the tips are focus to does a slimer face... what if I'm slim already.. and what I whant to do it's just make my facila figure just armonius.. or make a bit round?

Untill now I never saw a video, tutorial or tip just to make a face rounder... and it have to be some thing 'cause models have frequently a slim face... so please what to do in those cases?

I whish you can have a tip that for...

  • Amazing! Wondering if the white would work on darker skin tones (NW 45 or darker)?

  • wonderful. your the best risa:D

  • umm, i dont leave nasty comments on anyone page. WTF are you talking about? I'm 29 - which is neither old, nor young. I'm not trying to be anything. I'm BEING myself. YOU obviously need to focus on YOUR spirit instead of coming here and talking out of the side of your mouth about things that dont even make sense.

  • Im not trying to go to war with anyone. All I'm saying is check your facts. The only other names I've ever gone by is SonRisa and Hippyl0ngst0cking is my other name on here. I dont even know who fafinette is. I dont watch people on youtube, nor do I get caught up in retarded drama. As you said, I'm old (in your opinion) and I agree in the sense that I'm far too old to give 2 shits about YT drama , on top of the fact that I have many other things in life to worry about rather than talk shit

  • about young girls on youtube. Funny how you attack without even knowing any facts. Botox is for people who cant accept the REALITY of life, which includes aging, so thanks for you opinion, but I'm good. My 1 wrinkle to me respresents all the stress I went through battling leukemia so I have no desire to erase that. Do a little more research before you assume about people.

  • @jesussaves36 i love how your name is jesussaves and yet you are starting a whole lot of bullshit drama. grow up.

  • @jesussaves36 Wow, for someone who's username includes a reference to Jesus, you certainly like to spew around a lot of venomous hatred.

    Pray more, comment less.

P.S., if you think this woman looks/is either "old" or "wrinkled"....I suggest laser eye surgery.

  • I replied to you on the other video, but i'll say it here as well.

BirkinG1rl doesn't HAVE any videos. You saw one she favorited, jumped to conclusions, assumed it was a video Birkin uploaded rather than one she favorited and started attacking a guru on here who had NOTHING to do with this. You should apologize to Risa... she got thrown into this ish with you and didn't do a darned thing.

  • @jesussaves36 who the hell are you

  • @jesussaves36 You're FUCKING retarded.

  • Thank you, this was really helpful.

    Still 2 questions:

Dit you put foundation/ concealer on beforehand?

Will you fix with powder afterwards ( or will this fade out the contouring to much) ?

    Grts,

    Valérie

  • Thank you for the nose and lips tricks, havne't seen those before and will be trying them out!

  • Easy to follow... Love it

  • amazing! thank youu

  • Thank you very much for the detailed contour application video. It is very helpful for me.

  • your beautiful thank youuuu

  • This is such a great vid!!thanks for posting. Im so happy cause someone recomended me to get the nw55 fnd to use as a contour but I never knew how to use it, now finally I can use it. thanks so much. you look stunning. love the drama. xoxo

  • I love this it's almost perfect for a black box theater setting.

  • BEST Contouring & Highlighting video I've seen on here. Thank you so so much!

  • I literally have favorited almost all of your videos! I recently ran into your channel through petrilude and your tutorials are really good! I love your genuine personality too

  • your so cute! i love love your vids...

  • Great video. I bought the stick today so I can try it out <3

  • I had no clue that anyone ever contoured their face until i started wathing the girls on youtube. You def described how to do it better then anyone so far. I have been struggling with it but hopefuly you now made it a lil easier on me. Now i just need to go practice some more. Thank you so much. Love your videos you are too cute for words.

  • you are like a camaleon!

have seen some of ur videos!

and u look very different in each one

    but real good!

  • is there a way to make your nose look like it comes out less far?

  • great job!!!!

  • this is the BEST contouring video I've seen!

  • What do you do when you have really light hair for the contour around the hair line? I find that it makes my blond hair look muddy? Help!! Thx. And also you amazing!.

  • well, you wouldnt need to use something this dark - I just used such a dark color to make it more noticeable so you could see on camera exactly where the placement is. I would try a foundation that's like 3-4 shades darker than your skin. And you should be fine :)

  • your skin is beautiful. and out of all the ppl on youtube that ive seen explain makeup techniques and stuff, you do it the best! i cant wait for more vids!!

  • you should be a MODEL follow my advice u'll be succesefull i bet on that . maybe go on americas next top model

  • LOL thank you for the compliment but I'm almost 29 and I'm 5'4 - no way could I ever model. ;)

  • Oh gosh!!!! You don't look a day older than 18!!!! You're AMAZING!

  • You're so naturally pretty :) Love the freckles

  • great!!!!! makes your face thin! and so flawless!

  • WHAT NAIL POLISH ARE YOU WEARING?

  • If I had to trade faces with anyone in the world, I would pick you.

    Your gorgeous and unique.

Not to mention kind and talented.

    :)

  • Hey! I love your videos, but could you do one for people with VERY fair skin? I mean very pale. It is hard to find makeup that isnt too extreme for my skin tone...

I would be so grateful :)

  • i can relate with you. my sister and i have a really hard time with makeup bases and whatnot

  • so pretty without make up

  • you are gorgeous!

Thank you for your videos, very helpful

  • Wow, that was a lot of product. I'm shocked at how well it blended in. You are very natually beautiful.

  • did you figure out how to edit your videos?

  • it wasnt that i didnt know how. My laptop died - like done - the motherboard is fried :/ I was using my roomates desktop in NY and he didnt trust anything being dled on his computer. Now my mom is letting me use her old desktop which has windows movie maker...finally!

  • what camera are you using because no matter what I do with my flip I can't edit the videos and it is getting on my freaking nerves grrr

  • NAKED!

    no, totally kidding.

    but you are very insightful.

    thank you very much. :)

  • also, i pretty much have my dads jaw, it's a bit long. so any tips on how to make my jaw less prominent/seem smaller?

  • NEVERMIND!

i should take my own advice and watch the whole video ahhaha

  • random question! what colour is your hair naturally? just curious.

  • this is really informative.

but i'm still scared to contour....haha.

you did however, make it less daunting.

  • i always feel like people can see it when i try to contour . idk why and ill sit there and blend it and i still feel weird :/

  • oooo i wish i would ve founf you earlier for my makeup for my wedding :(

  • thnx, this is soo helpfull =D

  • You sound exactly like kat von D.

  • you are so beautiful!!!

  • Thanks for this. I am very fair, but I also have a round face and almost NO chin lol. I need this so much, and I appreciate that you used "dramatic" colors for your contour and highlight, it helps it show better on camera (as you pointed out).

  • I love your vids, you are just the coolest and so easy going

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great tips

  • This is fabulous! Thank you!

  • your bone structure look amazing :D

  • this is my favorite contouring and highlighting video. very well explained

  • Hey Risa,

Which MAC counter/store did you used to work at??

  • Why?

  • uhhhh cuhz you are!!!!

  • sorry I should have clarifed that I'd rather not comment on that here.

  • The dark and light help to really see what u did. Yes, I agree if you don't need foundation don't use it. When I was your age I never wore it. Ahhh,, but getting older I need the coverage now, uneven skin tone totally. Sigh.. girls revel in your youth and appreciate it!

  • i have a huge nose, i know how to contour , but how on earth do u just make it appear tinyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???

  • what bronzer would you use on a daily basis ?

  • thanks for that tutorial!! its really great that you go into a lot of detail...and that you used such an extreme example....makes it easier to see the difference!!

for darker skintones (i'm nw35), would you still recommend using a white like the atelier one you used, or would you recommend just something a little lighter than the natural skintone?

maybe you've covered this somewhere else, but could you do tutorial on how to use the concealer palettes with green, yellow, red, purple etc...?

  • you did an awsome job......i aleays look foward for your videos. just one question, it might be a dumb one but when do you start contouring and highlighting is it right after your foundation and do you put the blush after and then set your face with powder?

can you also do videos like a bridal look and a glamour look please.

  • No question is dumb. Yes, after foundation but it depends what type of products you're working with in regards to blush. If all are powder or all are cream- whatever order you want. Always lay cream products down first.

And I won't be doing bridal bc that's so unique to each person and I don't know what you mean by glamour...?

  • what nail polish are you wearing?

  • The brand is Sinful & the colors are cream pink and pink 4ever

  • is it a drug store brand?

  • no ...she has all the produts listed on the side bar... and it tells you were all the produts are from

  • and i was definitely talking to her about her nail polish.

  • oh..hehe cool just wannted to help.=)

  • No one NEEDS to contour anything. It's fun and playing around. Though josh (petilude is his channel) just did a cleavage tutorial that is very helpful for women who have had masectomies due to breast cancer.

  • great video..you do a great job on describing everything you're doing! say if you have to contour your face on a weekday.. or when you dont want it so dramatic...what shade number do you use in the shade stick (if other than the one mentioned)?

  • If I'm contouring my face in a MUCH more subtle way for my skintone I use mac taupe blush alone.

  • wonderful tutorial! I never knew you could contour the collarbone too, I will so do that!

  • As I said you can contour anything - abs, legs, cleavage etc josh( his channel is petrilude- sorry I can't link bc I'm replying from my iPhone) and Leesha (xsparkage) just did tutorials on creating cleavage using makeup. Definitely check them out!!

  • Really great video!! Very useful!!

  • Awesome video! Very helpful. Never seen a video that went into that much detail that was awesome. Also liked that you did the dark colors so you could actually really see how it changes. Most videos you cant really tell how much of a change it is. So great job! Thanks so much!!

  • I love this video it was very helpful thanks

  • Amazing, as always :)

    x

  • people NEEDED this video. lol

    <3

  • beautifulll

  • this video was probably one of the best contour&highlighting videos i;ve ever watched!

    good job:)

    it helped alottt!

  • it look blended enough for yt :) terrific job. Yours so pretty :)

  • I love your skin tone, I want it!

  • This is by far the best contouring and Highlighting tut I have seen! Thank you so much! I always have had issues with this for some reason and now I feel more comfortible! You Rock Risa! ^.^

  • i can def see the contouring on your face! =] it looks awesome!

  • great video! thanks for doing this, I really wanna try it :)

  • This is by far the best contouring video on YT. Great job!

  • haha you look naked. but your absolutely beautiful with make up! :)

  • this was ah-mazing. thanks so much

  • Very very helpful!!

I have a question: could you do like a quick tip video on 'whats the best way to remove your make up??' like should we use oil based removers? or just wash everything of using cleansers?? how to prevent future wrinkles?

    thank you :)

  • I love to listen and look to your tutorials, you make everything look so easy, it looks like even i can contour!

  • How do you even out your skin? Do you ever wear foundation on your full face or only powder? I love you natural looking skin, even in combination with more dramatic eyes and lips.

  • I only wear concealer- rarely foundation or powder. My skin leans on the dry side so I stay away from powder and foundation is unnecessary so why use it? On the rare occasion I do use it, I use studio stick thinned out greatly and that's only because I have it. But I don't like using because it becomes addictive. Foundation makes me want to cover every spot on my face- and having freckles...LOL so I seriously rarely use it. I'll do a tutorial on it though so you all can see the difference.

  • Yes you did a very dramatic Tut its awesome

  • very helpful!

  • This was by far the most helpful contouring/highlighting video I have ever watched.

And NYX makes a Taupe blush that is similar to the MAC taupe.

  • hey =] i've got a question -> I have darker skin and i dont know why but i can't contour my face right. And also when i put powder after few hours it falls down... if u know some tips 4 me it will be great. =]

  • Where did you find Atilier?

Come by and show some love for my makeup tutorials too!

  • They sponsered the Cho Cheng show I did for New York fashion week.

  • i love it its gorgeous

  • i love watching ur videos you are really talented and fun to watch =)

  • I don't normally contour my face although I feel I should, because I don't have a strong jaw line and my cheekbones aren't defined as I want them too. I don't have many products but I have a make up that has 5 colors in it, so if I use the darkest, it should work as contour, no? (if I'd wear it as foundation if would look like I tanned for 10 days straight :P)

    Great video!

  • great!!!! I think contouring is one of the most difficult parts of makeup artistry 'cause everyone has different bone structure and different needs, so makeup artists have to think of that like really fast when doing makeup on a client. I thnk this is excellent, thanx a lot Risa!

  • That is gorgeous. Great job! Contouring is something I've been continuing to practice on to get it to perfection.

  • Omg! You're so pretty in nude makeup! :D
