Tudiluu I used already a while agi Kinect for MMD.. back then in Win XP. I tried it today on win7 Used following versions: nite-bin-win32-v1.3.0.18 openni-bin-win32-v1.0.0.25 sensorkinect-win32-5.0.0 The Samplefiles work with "Usertracking" and so. But in MMD I get now an error: g_UserGenerator.Create failed: Can't create a node of teh requested type! Do you have any idea how to solve this problem maybe? thx for answer greez eddy

WHAT I DID.... I uninstalled microsoft's official drivers entirely one by one inside device manager and then unplugged kinect. Then I uninstalled anything that I tried to install before. I also found out that 64bit version of openni won't work for some reason... I downloaded KinectInstaller.exe from somewhere and it installed everything automatically.

I'm still getting some errors but it's unrelated to openni now. I used to have it installed fine until I formatted. God i hate installing this.

Ok this isnt working for my MMD. I still get a Generator User error even though I gotten the cam working >:( Does the version for Nite and OpenNi matter? The latest ones dont seem to ask for the password again. So I plug in the password manually. I then get a Generator User Error

Seriously, by now someone should have been able to come up with a simple installation package that allows users to select their OS and for the right installations to automatically take place on the selected program, in which case is MMD.

Hey, do you think it will ever be possible to use 2 kinects with MMD so we can have a more accurate record of the body movements? (Avoiding body obscuring problems and such)

For everyone with problems, I have previously installed following the guide in the OpenNI wiki. Also make sure you go to the device manager and the Prime drivers are "Kinect Motor/Camera" and not "XBox NUI etc". XBox NUI Audio is unnecessary, so you can uninstall it if you don't like.

I have the Xbox Kinnect working perfectly on my Windows 7 x64 bit but I'm uncertain as to how to get it working with MMD because this "The program can't start because openNI.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." When I clearly have openNI.dll dragged into my MMD program folder. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? :( Thanks! :D

what fixed it for me was downloading the exact avin2-SensorKinect-b7cd39d.zip with the exact password given in the videos info.

If it can't find OpenNI, then downloading the beta version should work. It did for me, but now the initfromxmlfile error is popping up.

I installed it three times so far... the first two times had different errors when opening NiUserTracker.exe, and this time I do not get an error, but the black box opens for less than a second, and closes on its own. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks.

How did you get PrimeSensor to show up in the Device Manager? Step 2 is confusig me, as well, and NiUserTracker.exe pops up and goes away instantly.

Thanks it works perfect on Windows 7 64-bit. However, since SensorKinect was "unstable" branch, it only works with "unstable" OpenNI v1.0.0.25. It did not work with 1.0.0.23 for me.
