You can't really argue that the Jets "should have" had that game. The Steelers simply outplayed the Jets and imposed their will on them in the first half. I mean, they outrushed the Jets 135-1 in the first half while outscoring them 24-3. Then in the second half, the Steelers made the plays to seal the game away. The Steelers were simply the better team on that day. You have to play two halves of football to win. The Jets didn't do that.
@daduck87 yeah, although, if the Jets had gotten that touchdown and not failed on fourth and goal, then that would have been 7 points, to make it 24-17, Steelers. The Jets did score a touchdown later, which would have atleast tied the game and made things much more interesting. I wouldn't say that the Jets would have won if they played better, but they could have atleast forced overtime if they had played better.
You have the two best defenses in football squaring off...it's going to come down to the turnover battle. If you look back to last year in week 15 that was a YOUNG and INEXPERIENCED defense for the Packers who have developed and grown into something special. The only weakness I see with the Pack is their special teams...but Pitt doesn't have a great return man either so I see the Pack having the edge as long as they keep Mendenhall in check.
Well I didn't hear you say any REAL reason why the Packers are going to win other than Rodgers, Driver, and Matthews...that's not a reason. It's the SUM of ALL the parts. And to say that the Jets are WAY better than the Steelers is way off...they are two very good teams...the Jets, like you said, just didn't show up for the 1st half so they lost. The Packers I think will destroy the Steelers. Not just because I'm a Packers fan but because of how the teams match up.
