  • You can oil your chest with the epicness leaking from that masterpiece

  • Great song, I just got my import version of the new Atlantis Ascendant digipack and it sounds frikkin awesome! :D

  • Long ago in a forgotten episode of history of humankind....The Lost Cities of Antarctica!! This band transports your imagination to an epic and incredible place in archaic ages were only The Gods know who were dwelling in today's frozen continent! Hail Bal-sagoth!!

  • adoro esta banda

  • omg epic epic and more epic the fucks they never gave

  • We need more albums like Starfire Burning Upon the Ice-Veiled Throne of Ultima Thule, Battle Magic, The Power Cosmic and Atlantis Ascendant.

To think this fine stuff was out there in the 90s while there was such amount of crap in the radio at my country.

  • fag synth band.

  • @flex0rz2 Your ignorance actually makes me laugh, good job.

  • @DanmantionOf Darkness Cradle of filth are one of the gayest, homo frilly shirt make up wearing fag bands ever. their lyrics suck ass. This band is soooo much better.

  • Bal Sagoth has the best spoken narrative parts. No contest.

  • They are going to re-release this album this year.

  • After hard thinking, I got say that this is my favourite song from them. Strange, though, that I cant seem to find any bad songs from the band, expect from the newest album.

  • Not bad at all...the spoken vocals are certainly an interesting twist.

  • HAIL FROM FINLAND !!!! BLODU OK JARNA BROTHERS !!

  • These are some of the best narrations by Byron Roberts. Total escapism, just turn off the lights and its like you're watching a sci-fi epic. Love this song.

  • Awesome keyboards by Johnny Maudling. He's really a master of grandiloquence.

  • Cthulhu F'tagn Ïa! Ïa!

  • unique band. love it really much. i hope they make soon a new album

  • All hail, Dave "Compact Dynamo" Mackintosh! Triplets are almost unheard of in the D-force battery.

  • @FurbyParade226 I'd say metal is almost unheard of in the D-force outfit

  • HP Lovecraft's At The Mountains of Madness influenced this.

  • i agree with all of you bal truly are the best of the symphonic epic dreamy thrashy deathy black ...they just do whatever you want and more fucking so underated in the industry ....and the more you listen the more they grow on you aaaaaaaaaaaaagh its to good ....bottle of red wine sit back and let it flow .

  • he totally just said primordial metropolis. Metal.

  • Bal Sagoth = The Greatest Spoken vocals in all of Metal!

  • @blackmetalblunt I can easily agree with that:)

  • this music is so extremly symphonic, melodic, and, what more can I say.. Bal-Sagoth is epic! when I listen to them, I can just sit back and relax, and feel like I'm in a huge adventure in a beautiful wonderland

  • So I came across this song totally by accident. I was searching the current temperature in Antarctica (long story), but this is what I found! Lol, I like it!

  • best album so far of bal sagoth, i wish they keep the production style of this album on their upcomming albums, (cause cronicles was uhmm..)

the drums in this album sounds like god

  • damn right! that is the best till now

  • I think Chronicles rocked too, just had had to get used to it! Try it ;)

  • that voice is so powerful. cool screamer, excellent narrator and the lyrics are so dreamy

  • If you have a request for a song you want uploaded or a band/album you want. just pass me a message

  • @SatanicCreature You could send me all the bal shagoth albums... :D

  • This music is what I play during my call of cthulhu and High adventure D&D games

  • This song is great, not classic battle metal you see in most of Bal-Sagoth works, but it got some intriguing beauty in terms of structure, instrumental job, theme and narration, I wish those places existed and I could explore them.

  • Total Lovecraft reference! The Elder City in Antarctica and whatnot. Damn, Bal-Sagoth fucking ROCK!!!

  • Well, didn't you find the name itself a reference? Or the albums referencing Lemuria and Cthulhu.

I'm sorry, I'm kind of a Lovecraft dick. I've read so much it's not even funny.

  • IT's never been funny

  • Ah, me too, USDFlnc. My friends have been driven to the brink of boredom and back by my Lovecraftian ravings! And,

Saruman007, yeah that would make sense. Hail!

  • Definite Lovecraft reference, but this song is seemingly more inspired by the theories that mythical places like Atlantis are currently frozen under Antarctica due to continental drift thousands of years ago, IMHO. Hail Bal Sagoth!

  • When I first heard about Bal-Sagoth was listening a radio station from the Netherlands, by the time I didn't know who was playing this impressive track. I thought it was some kind of movie narration untill I heard the awesome voice of the vocalist. I looked for this group for almost a year and now I know Bal-Sagoth is here to stay for the eternity!! We who were before man, are destined to be the architects of his future!

  • @michaelvanzak

    and his destroyers.

  • I think this album is one of Bal Sagoth's best works, with great songs and stories. It's a real escapist voyage, and totally awesome.

  • Yep - I totally agree. I was about to post a similar comment. ^_^

  • i love how bands tell a story

  • I love Starfire and Cthonic Chronicles best. This album is meh, OK, but I just think how godly it would of been if they had used the same guitar tone from Starfire! That would of made it awesome.

  • Oh yeah, the guitar tone from "Starfire..." was the fattest of all their releases, as to day. I'm also curious how their music would sound with the guitar tone of In Flames' Clayman with the renowned Fredman's recording technique...

  • hahahaha "gay ass candy keyboard metal" nice, even though im a big fan of bal-sagoth, that shit was still funny lol

  • shut up u fucking asshole...if u dont like this dont open this...gtfo!

  • Hit! That's my style! I like it very much. The only thing I have to discontinue is that the vocals could be more powerful. But it is a great song! Fav & 5 stars!

  • Not their best musically, but I disagree, the vocals are great, especially the movie style narration. Best song from this album is The Dreamer in Catacombs of Ur. On the whole I think its a stronger album that Power Cosmic.

  • do u have any link to dreamer un C of ur?? id liek to hear it...im trying to buy the albums of bal sagoth but i cant find em where i live...well maybe u can upload it XD

    -hail bal sagoth!

  • @maliketh0 yeah dude. it's a shame the music stores are so out of touch with reality lol. Unfortunately , you probably won't find any bal-sagoth titles readily available unless you live in a major city. I had to special order mine but it's more than worth it supporting such an excellent band that gives you your money's worth in return. This is the real deal. cheers.

  • @metalwizard13 funny thing i live in Lima, capital city, so theres no bigger city haha. if in NYC theres a music store where bal sagoth can be found my sister will bring it to me. c ya

  • @metalwizard13 if music stores were out of touch with reality, they would go bankrupt. And they do. Because currently only the on-line shopping is a viable business option.
