indeed war is imminent, especially after the history of the u.s. in iran with the installation of the shah in the 50's. those who remember this regime and the tyranny that came with it have instilled the hatred of those times for the u.s. in subsequent generations. oil in the area of iran and surrounding nations is of tantamount interest to the u.s. and iran scares us. iran knows what we are trying to do to gain a foothold in the region.
