Power chords can suffice, but doesn't sound the same. There's a reason why AC/DC uses actual chords - depth of tone. Try playing it both ways and you'll see what I mean. Power versus modified versus "full" regular chords produces a completely different sound each time. If you want the genuine ACDC sound, u have to use the actual proper chords.
