Latwan is actually waiting to take his official visit not for an announcement from the NCAA. Latwan said he wasn't going to sign an LOI until he had the opportunity to visit USC and because his visit has been delayed twice now, once because of the major snowstorms that hit the southeast and before because his dad couldn't make it, he's had to delay his announcement. He is however scheduled to visit tomorrow 2/26, so don't be surprised to here an announcement fairly soon after the weekend.
He hasn't visited USC yet, he will at the end of the month. He is not coming to Michigan. He listed Michigan to mess with UOS heads. They offered him late after they struck out on everyone else and he wants to piss on them. If he ever makes it to a college it will be USC or WVU, then the question will be, can he keep eligible. If the NCAA does it's job USC is toast. If they ignore the truth will they enforce the rules on the other teams and ignore what USC does? The violations are as serious as they get.
However you're right on one thing the NCAA infractions committee shouldn't ignore the truth. I'm just glad there's much more objectivity on their part and not such a flagrant distortion of the actual facts. If the NCAA does its job instead of reacting on some latent and inexplicable contempt for the USC program, then there ruling should be appropriate to the circumstances of the investigation and not ridiculously inordinate based on speculation and falsifications of truth.
Because USC isn't going to be put on probation and the NCAA infractions committee hasn't put a ban on a post-season team in like 10 years. And because going to SC would provide him with the best opportunity to get to the NFL seeing as how USC has put significantly more players in the league than anyone else in the last 7-8 years, whilst providing him an opportunity to get a degree at one of the better schools in the country. Not to mention Anderson has self-proclaimed it his "dream school".
If they don't end up on probation the NCAA has a serious enforcement problem. Bush was paid to play along with many others there and now with King Dirtbag himself Kiffen it's only a matter of time. What is known is that a booster put his family up at no charge in a $650,000 home while he played football at USC and that Joe Mcknight's girlfriend drove around in a free $50,000 car provided by a booster at no charge while he played at USC. This car was used by Mcknight on many ocassions. I only resent USC for cheating. I love the fact that they show up and play great ball in the bowls and give SEC fans something more to whine about.
If you were familiar with either case you'd be aware that Michaels was a prospective agent (not booster), that ALLEGEDLY enticed Bush's stepfather, LaMar Griffin, to have Bush sign with him AFTER he declared himself eligible for the NFL draft. The allegation is not a case of "pay for play", where Bush was offered compensation to play football for the university. Other than Griffin there was nothing that connected Michaels to USC or that insinuated involvement by anyone at the university.
The Mcknight case was much less significant. Mcknight was accused of using his girlfriend's car that was registered to Scott Schenter, a Santa Monica businessman (not booster). If you took the time to follow the development of the story, it was later established that Schenter, a University of Washington almunus (not USC booster), was Mcknight's girlfriend's EMPLOYER and a longtime family friend whose relationship PREDATED Mcknight even enrolling at the university.
Because the car wasn't directly provided to Mcknight and because there's no established motive that Schenter provided the car to Johann Beltran for use by Mcknight there's no infraction. Not to mention you conveniently were unaware of the fact that it was later documented that Beltran was making payments of $500/month and covered the insurance on the car. So your assertion that a booster provide a car to Beltran for free is once again completely fallacious and erroneous.

USC should be subject to the same rules as any other program. Apparently at USC there is a special set of rules. It hurts the integrity of the whole college game when schools use an unfair advantage such as USC. I do believe that what I just mentioned is nothing more than the tip of the iceberg.

I think the problem here is that people dont realize that how many stars a recruit has, does not always mean someone is going to be good or amazing. Check out malcom jenkins and aj hawk, both 3 stars. So really people do not know how well a school recruited until they have actually played.

OSU took 2 Safety's this year and 2 DBs...Last year 3 DB's and 1 Safety, all of which were 4 stars. Then the year before that 1, but then 4 Safety's and a DB. All of them were 4 stars!
WVU on the other hand plays 6 DB/Safety's, and our star Safety is a JR. So, chances are Anderson will start and return kicks as a true freshman. Regardless of where Latwan ends up, i feel like WVU would be an Excellent fit for him...:o)
Also at WVU, i can almost guarantee he will be returning Kicks/Punts.

2) Tons of Exposure
3) Severely needed and appreciated

Miami paid players in the 80's not under Coker btw. And I didn't say we're happy with 9 wins. When your team actually wins national titles, you'll understand this. The point is that we're clearly ready for a breakout year.

Latwan is actually waiting to take his official visit not for an announcement from the NCAA. Latwan said he wasn't going to sign an LOI until he had the opportunity to visit USC and because his visit has been delayed twice now, once because of the major snowstorms that hit the southeast and before because his dad couldn't make it, he's had to delay his announcement. He is however scheduled to visit tomorrow 2/26, so don't be surprised to here an announcement fairly soon after the weekend.

He hasn't visited USC yet, he will at the end of the month. He is not coming to Michigan. He listed Michigan to mess with UOS heads. They offered him late after they struck out on everyone else and he wants to piss on them. If he ever makes it to a college it will be USC or WVU, then the question will be, can he keep eligible. He is a tough player, but Michigan has no interest in him.

Your roster could be divided in half to make two top ten teams your talent is so good. Honestly for as good as you recruit you stink if you can't win the pac ten every year. However you're right on one thing the NCAA infractions committee shouldn't ignore the truth. I'm just glad there's much more objectivity on their part and not such a flagrant distortion of the actual facts. If the NCAA does its job instead of reacting on some latent and inexplicable contempt for the USC program, then there ruling should be appropriate to the circumstances of the investigation and not ridiculously inordinate based on speculation and falsifications of truth.

Because USC isn't going to be put on probation and the NCAA infractions committee hasn't put a ban on a post-season team in like 10 years. And because going to SC would provide him with the best opportunity to get to the NFL seeing as how USC has put significantly more players in the league than anyone else in the last 7-8 years, whilst providing him an opportunity to get a degree at one of the better schools in the country. Not to mention Anderson has self-proclaimed it his "dream school".

Reggie Bush wasn't being "paid to played" nor were there any others, that statement is indicative of how ignorant you are to the allegations surrounding the USC football program and their pending NCAA investigation. You clearly have some sort of deep resentment towards the program, to the point where it allows you to misinterpret information and meretriciously justify the exorbitant punishment you're calling for. What is known is that a booster put his family up at no charge in a $650,000 home while he played football at USC and that Joe Mcknight's girlfriend drove around in a free $50,000 car provided by a booster at no charge while he played at USC. This car was used by Mcknight on many ocassions. I only resent USC for cheating. I love the fact that they show up and play great ball in the bowls and give SEC fans something more to whine about.

If you were familiar with either case you'd be aware that Michaels was a prospective agent (not booster), that ALLEGEDLY enticed Bush's stepfather, LaMar Griffin, to have Bush sign with him AFTER he declared himself eligible for the NFL draft. The allegation is not a case of "pay for play", where Bush was offered compensation to play football for the university. Other than Griffin there was nothing that connected Michaels to USC or that insinuated involvement by anyone at the university.

The Mcknight case was much less significant. Mcknight was accused of using his girlfriend's car that was registered to Scott Schenter, a Santa Monica businessman (not booster). If you took the time to follow the development of the story, it was later established that Schenter, a University of Washington almunus (not USC booster), was Mcknight's girlfriend's EMPLOYER and a longtime family friend whose relationship PREDATED Mcknight even enrolling at the university.

Because the car wasn't directly provided to Mcknight and because there's no established motive that Schenter provided the car to Johann Beltran for use by Mcknight there's no infraction. Not to mention you conveniently were unaware of the fact that it was later documented that Beltran was making payments of $500/month and covered the insurance on the car. So your assertion that a booster provide a car to Beltran for free is once again completely fallacious and erroneous.

I think the problem here is that people dont realize that how many stars a recruit has, does not always mean someone is going to be good or amazing. Check out malcom jenkins and aj hawk, both 3 stars. So really people do not know how well a school recruited until they have actually played.

@tharrisnumber55:i agree wholeheartedly and i think if you look @ footage of some 3 star players they could easily have been overlooked and wind up better than a 4 or 5 star recuit. it seems that sometimes if one or two recuiing sites are hig on a group of players then the remaining 1 or 2 will follow suit. but then theres a group of 2 or even 3 star guys that end up being better. i think Michigan's 2010 class could end up better than some of the higher ranked classes. OSU took 2 Safety's this year and 2 DBs...Last year 3 DB's and 1 Safety, all of which were 4 stars. Then the year before that 1, but then 4 Safety's and a DB. All of them were 4 stars!
WVU on the other hand plays 6 DB/Safety's, and our star Safety is a JR. So, chances are Anderson will start and return kicks as a true freshman. Regardless of where Latwan ends up, i feel like WVU would be an Excellent fit for him...:o)

Well, both Michigan and USC are being investigated by the NCAA right now. USC has a ton of depth at DB and Safety. As for Michigan, have you been watching for the last two years? Seriously?
Ohio State would be a good choice but they have a lot of depth and I believe they are out of scholarships. Now that brings you to WVU. Lots of exposure, Early playing time, and almost a guaranteed good bowl.
IMO: WVU was a perfect fit and he should stick with them....

All i gotta say is 23 consecutive years with a winning record untill the past 2 seasons 40 straight non losing seasons 200 something games of a attendance of 100,000 or more 1 championships 42 conference championships we have finished int he top ten 37 times which is a record and we have the most wining sesons of any team so thank you

Your attendance is very distorted as well. You guy's have a huge population of people and brag about the 100k. WVU puts 65k every home game, with another 50k tailgating at the stadium partying.....
Wayne County itself has 3 times the people we have in our entire state....Yet you guys still brag about attendance. I could only imagine if there were 4 million people living in Morgantown what the game attendance would be....

As for the reference of Michigan's past success. You might want to take a look at the last 5 years and compare that . Then take your past two years and compare that. After all isn't that a better indication of the present?
