  • Music from Canada is sooooo much better

  • my sister went to school with him :P go B.C.

  • So it's not good anymore to make money or be recognized for what you do now a days? Oh and isn't it a little hypocritical that Matt Good is making videos to make money and put himself out there for the world to see. Hmmm. He might not be doing on purpose but i think it's the same thing. But I do like his music. 'shrug'

  • They are both epic. Avalanche was like his debutante ball outcoming. Hospital Music was him waving his balls in our face. If you didn't love Matt after listening to Hospital, you are dead. Call your relatives. Tell them to read the will!

  • A pretty good song from his best album, solo or band. Avalanche was absolutely epic

  • great song. who is he hugging at the end though?

  • That was his ex-wife.

  • My favorite artist

  • Who are what is UMG??

  • Universal Music Group.

AKA Douchebag corporation enacting ridiculous copyright laws.

  • awesome song....that zipper has a mind of its own XD

  • time to do some investinigating as George Bush the 2nd would have said.

  • I Mother Earth was Canadian?

  • Pretty sure they were!

  • yes, now edwin started a band called Crash Karma, with jeff burrows (the tea party) and mike turner (our lady peace)

  • Despite the shitty divorce (is there any other kind?)...I really love 4:00. Its such a good moment.

  • I, the throw away

  • Comment removed

  • I miss good 90s Canadian bands. (Matt Good band, OLP, I Mother Earth, etc.)

  • SSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Shut up.........or the rest of the world will hear ya! These amazing bands are too good for all the outsiders.....they are our greatest secrets...lets keep'em that way so they don't go and get all F**KED up!

    Cheers

  • Lol. Shouldn't we be sharing our treasures? Even though those bands are sort of long past their prime...:(

  • music elitist is elite.

  • Oh God, I agree.

  • OMG ITS GORDON FREE MAN.

    anyways good video ^ ^

  • support your troops!

  • back when MOD was alright.

  • Back in the day...

  • hahaha retards how about you all agree cause all canadians agree on weed is good...yes all 33 mil

  • hahah weed is good :) :P

  • except for this one! but matthew good is good!

  • I live in Canada and I love Matthew Good, as well as Our Lady Peace. Hawksley Workman is okay as well, and, I know there will be people who want to shoot me for this, but I kind of like Nickelback as well.

  • All of those artists are absolutely loved in Canada..

  • You should continue to generalize all Canadians. It makes you look smart.

  • I wasn't talking about you guys. I was talking about the rest of Canadians who don't have a clue. OK?

  • That's a sore point for me too. Hawksley Workman is huge in Europe, but nobody outside of his Huntsville Ontario birthplace has heard of him. Dallas Green. Daniel Victor/Neverending White Lights. And Matthew. All unknowns in Canada, well except for Matthew Good. So much for CRTC content rules promoting Canadian artists.

  • pfff everyone knows dallas green, i'm from st. catharines which is also where he's from and obviously we all know him, but seriously dallas is pretty damn famous. and i've seen neverending white lights in concert before, and i've totally heard of hawksley workman, i listened to a bit of his stuff, it was alright. i never knew he was from huntsville though.

  • I'm from New Brunswick and I've heard of all of the mentioned.

  • i live in bc, and i know all of those guys

or was i the only person who watched muchmusic as a teenager? lol

  • I was talking about the rest of Canadians, not the lucky guys who get to call themselves "tokedaily" and hang around the house becoming experts at listening to tunes.

  • The other 33 million Canadians!

  • Ya I did too growing up. Back when it didn't suck..

  • clean the shit out of your eyes and ears... these bands are huge across canada

  • name names. Who knows about them compared to who should know about them. I think everyone should!

  • thousands of kids at the 3 high schools that iv been to, tens of thousands at the university of western ontario, and im going to go out on a whim that millions do at other institutions across canada...so please don't get all condescending about youth today, that tunes getting old

  • damn I want to fuck you. You're so hot

  • good for you... more ppl should be open about their sexuality on the web :) good luck with all your life choices. cheers

  • Yea that zipper thing is funny, rofl, it just flops side to side. lol.

  • :56 ish seconds, the zipper from his shirt really bothers me. everytime i watch this.

    lolol. great song.

  • Lol yeah! My eyes just keep drawing to it, it's really annoying lol!

  • fuck, i totally was just about to post a comment about the zipper annoying me.

  • True, True! Welcome to the howdy dewdy show, kids! Make sure to cheer for all genres and stuff having nothing to do with music! And hollywood SO has an influence on the canadian scene cause we say so!

  • ah the good old days when much music played good music a while back now all they play is garbage with this new crap.

  • you don't mean matt good is new crap do you?

I checked out your fav's, awesome pics btw!

  • Thank you for complimenting me on my pics, I always try to think of newer videos to put on my fav's section. I wrote a comment expressing my displeasure in Matthew Good's latest album Hospital Music, I like Born Losers, but most of the album seems to bitter, with his expression of anger towards his ex-wife Jennifer Good. "I'm no saver then a bank bitch." Come on Matt get back to your intelligent songs, get over ever thing and move on.

  • One of my favourite videos, though I liked the song Weapon best.

  • I am a huge Matthew Good fan, and I love this video and song, but with that being said, and I am probably going to be getting a lot of angry responses from my next comment. His latest album Hospital Music, is a tad bit bitter and cold. Matthew Good's Bipolar Disorder and anger towards his ex-wife Jennifer Good is expressed in great detail which makes his latest album a bit of a disappointment.

  • Yeah it's bitter and cold, but to me, that just takes the album to very different level. 'Champions of Nothing' is absolutely incredible, and the way it feels so personal helps to make the track just that much better. To me, Hospital music is heartfelt. And it makes me feel something. The fact that he can do that makes me appreciate him as an artist so much more than most other musicians.

  • I agree with the other guy who disagreed. Hospital Music is Matthew Good's best work. It's won him the recognition in the U.S.A that has elluded him so far. It's so intensely personal that you have to love him when you listen to him.

  • matt good rules all!! hes brilliant beyond our comprehension.i live and breath for matthewgood!

  • *sighs* You wouldn't hear this on Much these days...

  • Very Original Talented Artist :~)

  • Don't worry, America won't take over. Ever played Risk? Spread your troops too thin and you're screwed. Maybe if they go classic Kubrick . . .

On that note, I must ask, war teaches Americans geography? More like Geology. By the time America's conservative administration is done the whole planet will be a steaming rock. Matthew Good once said that the devil was down at the radio shack, turning #2 into solid gold. Admin has turned solid gold to #2. I'm proud to be American!

  • it sure seems in his video america wants to take the world, than IS HE CALLING AMERICA A CATASTROPHE? Hell yeah GO MATT :)

  • In my opinion his best song. :D

  • Fuck that if THE USA is going to take over

    FUCK THEM lol

    MATT GOOD RULES tho

  • this song is the best

  • You get to see M Goods ex-wife slut cheating whore in this video for a second there near the end holding him, surprised she wasn't holding a knife in that scene to his back, the cheating little c***.

  • Man, what a sad story that is -- I didn't know that she cheated on him -- though I did know she took all the money he saved as a means of pension in anticipation of his music no longer being profitable.

  • Hey u sould watch my matt good thing he talks about her its like he blames himself and he sould't

  • Hey u sould watch my matt good thing he talks about her its like he blames himself and he sould't

  • awesome, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, and all of the previous conflicts and wars.

  • I LOVE MATTHEW GOOD

  • Wow, I couldn't disagree more lol

  • if only artists were like matt.

  • What a sweet humble song, with so much depth and meaning, why can't more professional musicians not only steal all of Matthew Good's ideas, but why can there not be like dozens of carbon copy rip off bands of Matthew Good, as appose to carbon copy bands of Creed.

  • the guy is brilliant live, better than studio and has an amazing personality. u dont want bands to rip off matt good, the guy is completly original and no one can steal that from him. best concert i have ever seen...and give creed some credit, they had a descent run too.

  • Brilliant song and voice. And heck, great looking, especially at 1:38-40. Wow.

  • hes always soo deep..awsome

  • love this guy especialy his song weapon i actully never heard of matt before i heard weapon on smallville in the episode exedus which made me love smallville even more alot of good music is played in it

  • matthew good is da greatest singer ever......CAN U DIG IT

  • his voice is amazing.

  • matt good is very goooooooood. he makes music about worldly unfortunate events and he makes it sound good. good lyrics, good guitar riffs. everything is good cause he is matthew good. lmao. lol hahaha

  • espececially when its Matt Good

  • much music is the bomb. Thank GOD I'm canadian! though it has gotten a little worse over the years, they still play good music like this

  • I'm from the states...and I used to love much music. Music television in general sucks now.

  • yeah i agree. they're too focused on celebrity gossip/reality shows, or shows about the artists but they hardly play anything good.

  • its not even music television anymore, its reality television, and yes it makes me sick as well.

  • Must agree with you. I remember how Much Music used to have that song versus thing and "Rico" was hot for awhile. Damn, I miss that station. Now we have...Fuse *throw up* and the wrest of the stations don't even play real music if they play music at all.

  • you dont get it anymore? it's still one of the major music stations in canada (broadcast from toronto)

  • not in the U.S. anymore...I think some places may get it out west but not where I am.

  • :( well, i don't watch it much but i don't think your missing much now, they got rid of battle mode i think

  • aw, too bad...that was one of my favorite parts about it. when they talked to the musicians about politics and what was going on at the time, some of that was funny. Like Matt Good talking about the voting then the random picture of a yeti and a viking ship come up...lol...want to see that vid now.

  • battle mode? you talking about Much On Demand? Cause that was garbage. Much Music sucked after 1998 when it went down the "lets cater to 13 year old girls!!" route.

  • Yeah, but it used to play in the states. If it weren't from Much, I would have NEVER heard of artists like Matthew Good and bands like Our Lady Peace, and that would be a shame to behold.

  • matt has gained alot of weight since this was filmed

  • Wow way to make an extremely shallow comment completely unrelated to the music.. Matt Good is an amazing musician and this song is one of the many that demonstrate this.

  • calm down buddy its just an observation. just because you notice something about someones apperance doesn't mean thats all you care about. geez

  • it does seem like it though

  • Most music videos are shallow comments completely unrelated to the music.

  • much music turned into fuse which was really good for a while until it started acting like MTV.

  • whatever happened to much music in the u.s. it ruled. oh weeeeellll i guess

  • Not only Gordon but Rivers Cuomo too. Exactly like both of them.

  • i know! ive always thought that!! XD , if they make a movie of that game they have to use him

  • Anybody notice that Matt good looks like the spliting image of Gordan Freeman with glasses on?

  • yup and also George Pettit

  • Wow, I forgot about this great tune; it came out around when the U.S. began the War In Iraq in 2003, perhaps a symbolic tune here.......

  • this song rules

  • WOW SO F***ING SEXY

  • matt's voice f'ing rules

  • haha it's gunna be so awesome, if you live in/near sarnia, he's commin to the imperial theater, it's gunna be sick, I'm relaly wantin to go!

  • Matthew Good is an utter genius, amazing man

  • This Song Is The Best Song Ever He Was Trying To Say To Canada to Open Your eyes To The World In front of You And He Has Changed My Life Around Thank You matt Good For Making music The Way It Is And to much music can kiss my white ass

  • i love you mat !! :)

  • Why can't I have him? Why Why Why!!! Love this band.

  • Kick Ass!

  • Unfortunately, MuchMusic sucks big hairy balls now. All thanks to MTV.

  • I agree. Muchmusic has completely lost it's originality that it is no longer fun to watch anymore.

  • Yep, more Pussy Cat Dolls and Dancing With the Stars than music...

  • I miss MuchMusic! When it is coming back to the States? I can't wait long.

  • ahhh, looking at him and hearing his voice makes my heart sink. SO, so, so in love with him.

  • such a brilliant video by one of Canada's most underrated artists.

  • I LOVE him.

  • MATTHEW GOOD HEALS <3

  • This world is called catastrophe
