@drunkmango57..you cannot get new smartphones without data...carriers wont' allow it. The only thing you can do is either buy a standard cell phone or what I did was buy a used old smartphone (MOTO Q) and got out of having to sign up for a data plan.

Hey Noah, having to switch from using the Palm platform to Windows. I've used a Treo650 for 2plus years..could double as a timex..Anyways, I am with Verizon and I'm trying to decide between the omnia and the Saga. Pesonally I think I like the Saga better. Similar to my Treo, seems a bit more sturdy, screen is protected a little better by the design, & it is global. You mentioned messing with an Omnia so I'll ask you, Is there anything about the Omnia I'm missing before I buy a Saga???

My dad got the Omnia, I got the Saga, my mom got the Rogue, and my brother went blackberry storm.

My phone is the fastest. Everything loads as soon as you click with no lag time. The blackberry storm was the slowest. Omnia and Rogue matched speeds but still slower than the Saga. My Saga has a hard time playing emulators but I've been working on it. All in all its a great phone, very fast.

Many will complain but I've had 0 problems with it and its just been great. Fast and always got service!

It's the same with at&t. If you get the blackjack or any other smart phone you have to get the data plan which is also $30. Even though there is Wi-fi all over now, you can't connect to private networks because you need the network key. The only place you could connect is at like coffee shops or places where there is free wi-fi, which I am hardly ever at those places, so the 3G network comes in handy because you are not always going to have access to wi-fi.

No you don't need WiFi. I have WiFi at my house and haven't connected it to the network because I just go off the 3G network because it is fast enough for me, so you can just use the 3G network if it is available in your area. But if you do get the phone you have to get the data plan no matter what, even if you are just going to go through your home network.

The only payments are your voice plan and the data plan, which costs $30 for unlimited data. So just add $30 to your voice plan and that's your monthly payment.

I got this phone 4 days ago and it is amazing! A lot of people think it is ugly but to me it looks like the blackjack and is better with the large optical mouse, touch screen, and windows mobile 6.1. Sometimes it will only show one or two bars for signal strength but I haven't had any problems with reception or call quality. The only down side is the battery which needs charging everyday if you use the web and have email set like me, but I can live with charging it. Great phone!

I receive both Samsung's Saga and the Storm today and i was giving the blackberry storm to my girlfriend and i was going to keep the saga for my self but i am so disapointed at the saga, i am a big fan of the sch-i730 and the sch-i760 both phone where great but not the sch-i770 aka saga, i got 30 days to test drive but it just does not feel what i was hoping. touch screen and the mouse does not make any sence to me. i am thinking of getting the storm and wait for it to be slingbox compatible
