I have owned this ST on vinyl since it's release in 1985, featuring the great guitar work of Lee Ritenour and vocal contributions from Glenn Sherrock of the Little River Band... I was an extra in the film for the scenes filmed in stage two of the Hell Of The West, or what we used to call the Coors Classic here in Colorado

nice post. I have an original vinyl album of this soundtrack. I am thinking about having it dubbed over to CD soon, then selling it next year at the Denver Pro Event. Of course not giving a care which of the movie companies loses out. This entire album is good and an inspiration to those cyclists who used to get fired up about the Coors Classic...Hell of the West.

it was never full released do to then 7-11 cycling team objecting to how it made their team look like the bad guys, was only a major city release and before it went to full release is when 7-11 objected

This movie not only got me into amateur cycling, but also got me in the best shape of my life(back in 1987, lol). I watched this movie so many times for insperation that I actually had to buy a second copy on VHS because I stretched and burned my first copy. One of the best films and soundtracks ever. Grusin productions is still great. You're so right Naomi, great workout music. Also Rocky IV moive soundtrack is a great blood pumper for the gym. I had the soundtrack on cassette. Great stuff.

It was never commercially released as far as i know.

You can find it on vinyl or cassette tape on eBay occasionally, but it's not available commercially on CD or any digital format. Good luck finding it.
