One thing we don't get a real sense of watching these vids is of the tremendous sound these huge waves must make as they break. That in itself must be quite terrifying. Imagine being right in the teeth of these huge, thunderous waves, feeling the pressurized spray of mist on your back and the powerful gust of wind as it explodes from inside the barrel as the waves break. These guys are definitely brave as well as incredibly skilled.
