Its made by compustar its also a remote start and its got a 3/4 mile range. Look them up on ebay or compustar's website. It's definitely a sweet setup!

Nice truck----especially for the year! I don't see any rust at all on it.

I had a '92 Sierra 1500 (my Dad's). I bought it from his estate when he passed away in '01.  I drove and drove that thing until finally the head gasket went in it. It was still running when I sold it, but it was eating anti freeze. Had 179,000 miles on it when I sold it last summer. I have a '99 Sierra 1500 now with the 5.3L V-8. In it. I love my GMC trucks!!!

Not sure if there was any change from 96-98 but my old work truck was a 1996 silverado and that truck has balls, if you floor it and stay on it your looking at 5000 rpm if not a bit higher. I miss that truck it was fast, now I have a 1999 Ford nice truck, sometimes I get lucky enough to have the Chevy though all depends on who needs which truck on what job.

Your oil pressure is pretty low for that truck. You should be up around 60 lb cold. Is that a 305 or a 350?

The radio is from a 2000 Chevy truck, it was a worthwhile upgrade. I also installed an aux in iPod adapter which is also very nice to have.

Very nice truck! I got a 1998 Chevy Silverado 2wd with a new 350 I put in. It would be nice to have 4x4, but I have never had any trouble getting through a foot of heavy snow. I had to drive in that for a while. As long as you have wieght in the bed, you should be fine. Nice truck!
