  • Listening to this in my Postal Truck made me decide to pursue a Jazz career. I realized that a paycheck is not enough to sustain your dreams or your soul. I spent a lot of time trying to play this tune. I wrote Ron Carter's bass line out. I had dreams of Nefertiti and the profound messages that Tony Williams conjured with his percussion and Wayne Shorter's deep imagery that was like a novel. Herbie Hancock's chords are so precisely placed and voiced that the density is complicated over-all.

  • The music brings forward creative memories. It gives extended life to those who appreciate this class of music. Thank you.

  • special mention for Tony.

  • music. art. genius.

  • What I truly like about this song is how the lead plays the same melody, while the rhythm section is just improvising like crazy overlapping the lead section. And while even still keeping the beat! That has really impacted me a lot.

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • The soundtrack to my bipolarity. When I hear this, I want to laugh about everything I screwed up and cry about it at the same time. Priceless Miles, at his reflective best ...

  • too smooth !!!
