  • this fucking scared me

  • lol What a terrible noose!

  • I don't usually say this about books made in the 40's but Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None is just EPIC!

  • What is the piano song? It sounds familiar

  • @MadameChristie Maybe I misspoke. I just preferred reading the book's ending to seeing this one visually. I pictured it differently that's all.

  • You are going to participate in a game. The [Nonary Game]. It is a game...where you will put your life on the line.

  • @CheesyGranola 999 FTW! :D

  • agatha christie is the killer

  • Mr.e

  • where can I find a dvd copy of this movie?

  • i always thought in my head that general macarthur was bill from left 4 dead and anthoney marston was john marston from red dead redemption lol.

  • @xxxPurplexGirlxxx no shit Sherlock.

  • So the Wii game's soundtrack is up for grabs? Where did you get it, and where can I find it?

  • The killer is Wargrave.

  • please tell me whos is the killer in this video?

  • @XxXA7LaMaNXxX i read the book and he is *spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler**spoiler*

  • Wait, U.N. Owen was her?

  • @tuackanxu

U.N.Owen was the mysteriously absent host, and possibly the unseen killer....

  • @Cluedokid25 no way, read the book :)

  • @Cluedokid25 It's a joke, centered around the fact that a song in one of the Touhou games (series of Japanese bullet-hell games) is actually titled "U.N. Owen Was Her". Ridiculously amusing, I think. :)

  • @tuackanxu no no no no.....that is the whole trick. You must read the book to see the twist, i shall not spoil it

  • @tuackanxu , UN Owen was the Juge Wargrave!

  • @tuackanxu LOL!!! XD I didn't realize this until recently, but I'm glad somebody made this mind-blowingly funny connection!

  • and btw this movie is the best of all other movies about the book,, I watched 4 movies about the book, this movie is exactly like what is said in the book

  • this was the first book I have ever red for Christie and it was the starter for my passion for her books, after I finished this book and got shocked about the killer, I went to the book-store and I bought about 50 novels for her,, and I'm still reading for her

  • There's a copy with English subtitles here on YouTube so you don't have to look for it in Russian Internet:) It's a good film though it doesn't look very English of course;) Don't mind depressive colours, it's a "trademark" of Soviet cinema, film quality was poor

  • This clip is made of cuts of the Russian film after Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians" ("Des'at' negrit'at") taken at mid 80s. I think it is very true adaptation of the book and very good and well known Russian actors are playing. I don't think it was translated into English... that's the only problem for people who want to see the film, because you can find it on Mail.ru service, for example. I saw this film when I was at school;)

  • @HouseOnSunset I agree with you---and yet....I really wish the Russians would have gone all the way to film Christie's ending. In this version, the killer's commits suicide in such a way that it is obvious that they were the guilty party. In the book both the police and the reader are baffled as to who the killer is.

  • @eddiejc1

Yes, though the bit with the police might have dragged the film, would have been too much trouble to instead of having the Judge die in the chair, kill himself on the bed instead?

All the same, still an gripping ending.

  • Can you please tell me where you got these clips?!?!?! I've been looking all over for a modern "And Then There Were None" movie like this!

  • 9 people are Anthony Marston.

  • Damn you Lawrence Wargrave!

  • i absolutely adored this book and preferred the books ending to the movie ending.

  • @snowflake1128 which do you mean? This particualr film is notable for being the only daptation to use the book's ending as opposed to the play's, which all of the English language adaptations use...

  • Thanks

  • man that's gorgeus.......!

  • What the name of the music.....It's good but scary O_e and I'm reading this book in school It's cool so far :D

  • @scarandmarcus

The song is called Owen's Theme. Taken from the computer rendition of ATTWN.

  • freaky

  • Excellent !!!!!

  • Anyone know where the film location is?Specifically the cliff edge mansion.

  • Huh I thought tge ending was the girl pretended to shoot the guy and then found out the doctor was killing everyone and he poisoned himself and the girl and guy got off the island. Though I saw the movie 6 years ago soo..

  • @NightTimeMascarade

Ummm no, that is *not* what happened, lol.

  • @NightTimeMascarade WHAT???!!! You need to read the book. One of the best I've ever read - and that's saying something.

  • @NightTimeMascarade

That's the 1940 movie's version that you saw. Indeed two of them do get off the island and the doctor poisoned himself in that one. Personally I thought that was a lame ending but the movie all in all was pretty good

  • Can anyone please tell me where can I find this version? I read the book yesterday. I would like to know nice versions of the book to watch. this one looks quite faithful to the story.

    thanks!

  • @misslizziedarcy I found it on eMule

  • Fantastic combination of words, images and music! Thank you for this!

  • Which version is this?

  • Great, GREAT VIDEO, by the way, do u know where can i find the full version (or versions) of this movie??

  • Where can you find this movie?

  • that book was amazing. But i saw the older version of it though, the jugde was the murder and vera faked shooting philip and they both left. but, both versions of the movie were great ^^

  • I REALLY LOOOVED THAT BOOK, It was so amazing, I red it in french and I now wanna get it in English !!

  • WOoooooooooooooooooow best book ever!!1111111111

  • Excellent film! Just loved it!

  • RY:

My class is reading this book. And I cannot follow along, thus I miss out on the good parts of the story. And I'll probably love it when I can read it to myself.

  • I love this book

  • this is probrobly the best film version, since it's the only one true to the novel. I wish there was an American version like this!

  • is this the movie with their actual names from the book? When was this movie made? BEST BOOK EVER! AND I HATE READING! BUT I COULDNT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!

  • It's from the game.

  • @Slugasega19 1987. Yes. it doesn't change any of the characters or their crimes like the other versions.

  • Cluedokid25 has always had an artistic touch.

  • Quite possibly the best murder/mystery story ever. The music adds to it :}

  • Does anyone know of this poem ever being sung, and where I could possibly find that song?

  • Only the best shit, friend.

  • @Cluedokid25 thanks. great movie, great soundtrack and your clip is great.

  • vera isnt the last one read the prologue

  • oh yea and is vera the last one?

  • right now im reading the book in school and i really dont like reading so i kinda looked it up and found this can u tell me how they all die like who killed who and stuff like that where i am right now marston died and mrs.rogers died so if u could tell me who killed who that would be pretty cool so yea

  • I don't think you bleed if you choke on something.

  • True, but you may bleed when after you choke, your body falls into the porcelain and glass table setting.

  • As usual, the Russians films are just better.

Damn I must see this version. Love the book, and this film adaptation seems pretty faithful.

  • Just finished watching it and I loved it. :) The only TLN adaptation I'll acknowledge.

  • I love the book, this video and the song. =]

sends chills up my spine... in a good way :P

  • Great Video!

Hey I know someone else has already asked this question but do you remember at all where you found the music for this game. I have been searching everywhere.

  • In the video game, are you one of the guests?

  • Nope. You play the boatman Patrick Narracott who ferries the guests over to the island. He gets marooned with everyone else when his boat gets scuttled.

  • Isn't it Fred Naracott?

  • No. You are playing as Fred's brother Patrick. There's a whole back story involving Fred framed by Blore over the Purcell gang and the Landor case, so Fred sends you in his place so that he doesn't have to deal with encountering Blore.

  • U.N. Owen is not a real person the murderer is wargrave... I read the book. and it was first called ten little niggers, then published to a second tittle, and then the third title is ten littles indians

  • the ending of this video was completely traumatizing. about U.N. Owen, what happened to like him/her? does anyone ever find out who him/her are?

  • this music is awesome :) i sooo want it on my ipod

  • the greatest movie

  • ten little indians is my favourite book and i'd like to see the film!!!

  • watch the original, its on youtube "and then there were none"

  • thanks ! :)

  • this was really good. i would love to see this russian film. it looks to be more accurate to the plot line then our american version done in the 40's.

  • WHO WAS THE KILLER??????????????

  • It was Wargrave. It's easy to understand once you read the book. Basically, he faked his own death and then killed everyone else including himself.

  • I LOVE thus film and book ...and i LOVE Agata Khristy

  • 6:23

    HE went and hung HIMSELF??

    It's SHE

    sorry for that.

  • The verse is referring to the Indian boy, not Vera Claythorne.

  • But it's still a woman...

  • Okay, let me explain a second time.

The murderer is killing the characters, and each death is based on a verse from the poem "Ten Little Indians." The poem is a nursery rhyme and in it, 10 Indian boys meet a perilous fate.

The woman you see hanging herself is Vera Claythorne and her death corresponds to the final verse in the poem.

It doesn't matter if she is a woman or not, it's the fact that both her and the Indian boy hang theirselves, thus completing the poem.

    Does that explain it?

  • :D Oh ok I think I get it.

  • uhmm.... agatha christie made everything masqulin so no one would know the ending... until they read the ending.

  • in the story it says Himself

  • I've read this book, but it was called 'Ten little niggers', not 'And then there were none'.. Strange since the book was in english, but i live in sweden so it must be because of that?

  • They changed the name to be politically correct. That's the only reason.

  • It was originally written and published in London as Ten Little Niggers.

Then it when it came to America it would only be published as Ten Little Indians. lt was later changed to And Then There were none to be considered politically correct. (Although I'm sure the story was changed as well from the original.)

  • the music is so scary.

  • when was this film made and whos in it as I will try to get it on dvd. Thanks.

  • 1987, the film featured some of the most well-known actors in Russia , try searching for it on Amazon or EBay

  • there was one madein 1945, its ver different toh

  • this is so creepy

the movie april fools day 1987 is supposed to be based off this book

(agatha christie and then there were none)

  • WHATS THIS SONG CALLED?

    K;THANKYOU.

  • Owen's Theme

  • AMAZING Book!

    Go Wargrave!!!

  • wasn't it two little soldier boys playing with a gun one shot the other and then there was one

  • There are many variations of the rhyme.

  • the original is "Two Little Soldier boys sitting in the sun, one got frizzled up and then there was one

  • Can you please upload the 1989 movie if possible? thanks

  • Theres a newer version!??

  • Yes, but the 1989 version sounds pretty awful. Some people regard it to be so-bad-it's-good; others think it's so-bad-it's-horrible.

  • the soundrack is good and the movie is good because it's not so old and colored.

  • So. Damn. CREEEEEPYY...

I listened to that on audio after I read it--it was twelve in the in the morning and it scared thel iving shit outta me. O,O" Amazing book, though...

Was the Russian movie based offthe book? Otherwise that's a really creepy conincedance. O,O"""

...And then there were none. I literally finished that book the otehr day, then listened to aduio, and now I've got that damned poem memorized. O,O" I know what I'll be for Halloween this year, eh? XD

  • LOL... DUH, the Russian version was based on the book. It's actually the most faithful adaptation of all the movie versions.

  • @HouseOnSunset Agreed. This was the only version to retain the original downbeat ending. When Agatha Christie made if into a play, she knew that she couldn't get audiences to accept it, hence the "happy" ending that most people know from the movies and the stage play. Unfortunately, the Russian film was also the only film to retain the original title using the N-word instead of Indians.

  • @FluffyCerberus I don't see how that is "unfortunate." The "N" word doesn't have the same racist connotations in Europe that it does in the US, especially in Russia.

  • @emlodik You have to remember that much of our earliest American history stemmed from British immigrants, along with British attitudes towards other races. That British attitude was mirrored during their colony days in both America and India. South Africa was settled, in part, by British colonists and led to the long reviled policy of apartheid. It doesn't matter how the "N" word is taken by Europeans or Russians. It's still seen as offensive and that makes its use unfortunate.

  • @FluffyCerberus The reason this film used the "N-word" was because, like HouseOnSunset said before, it was the most faithful adaptation of the book. The original title used the "N-word", so that is why the film used it. It's not because it's being racist, it's because that's the original title. :)

  • what????? i just saw this play tonight and the end 2 are left alive.....the judge fakes his death. the girl shoots the captain the judge tells her what he did the captain gets up shoots the judge. the girl and the captain get married and they all live hapilly ever after.

  • The ending you just wrote is from the play. This is based on the BOOK'S ending. In the book, Vera shoots Lombard dead and hangs herself. Then the Judge writes his confession before shooting himself in the head.

  • the play is fail

    book ftw

  • whered u get the music? i luv it

  • The song is called Owen's Theme from the computer game: Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.

I forgot where I found it.

  • its ten little niggers not indians, political correctness is such bullshit in some cases especially in cases of literature. it wasn't meant in a racist way here.

  • You are absolutely right; however, I think Cluedokid25 used Indians because that is the widely accepted term now.

  • nicly done, just beautiful

  • beautifully done, in my opinion. 5/5

  • This is the main theme of the game, but there is one more piano piece... that is wonderful, and I don't knw their title. In the game, is called: walkingaround06. If someone knows the tilte, please write here, thx:)

  • and then there were none

  • Excellent!

  • Does anyone know where I can download this theme for free? If yes please send me a message.

  • amazing!

  • 1 thing unaccurate about MOVIE not ur vid is armstroing was pushed over sliff AT NIGHT everyone else was asleep unless they changed it for the movie

  • There might be some difference. I tell what happens in the movie:

Wargrave pushes Armstrong off the cliff at very early peak of morning. Blore hears Armstrong's scream and wakes up. Blore and Lombard go outside searching for Armstrong and discover an Indian figurine smashed on the pavement. Much, much later after Blore had been killed, Vera and Lombard find Armstrong's body.

  • hi cluedokid25, I'm italian, and I consider ten little indians ( the italian version is 10 piccoli indiani ) my favourite book. also I've seen 4 films(in 1945, 1966, 1975, 1989 ), but their final are not the final of the wonderfull book.. I don't see this movie, but I look like that it is very similar to the book... what the exact title of a movie? can I find it on eMule ? and how in italian? excuse me for bad english..

  • Hello aleanzo,

This film is called Desyat Negrityat. It is a Russian movie made in 1987. It has English subtitles but they are written very poorly. Hope this helps!

  • Comment removed

  • It's a russian movie based on a book. It's 99% similar...very good movie.

  • 5:43, Vera looks totally insane. Compare that with how civilized and dignified she looks at the beginning of the movie.

  • That's what I love about this film! Vera and Lombard look so calm, neat and collected by the end of the film, while in fact they should both be on the edge of a nervous breakdown!

  • 1 pob w/ this movie NOT the vid in the book it says blore's head was crushed and mangled by a giant marble bear clock. in this he just gets liked whacked with it

maybe that was to bloody 2 show?

  • When books are made into movies, artistic licenses are taken.

This movie was made in 1989. Perhaps they didn't have the techniques available to convincingly look as though the actor's head gets squished.

Of course, who knows what sort of brains have been splattered inside of that hat. ;)

  • y is marston all bloody?

  • In this movie, Marston dies and falls onto his dinnerware and glass skewering the shards into his face and hands.

  • was this the real movie i no theres a black and white 1

  • yup. This is the real movie.

  • One of the most impressive editing techniques in the movie is Armstrong's death. Even though it's obvious as to how they pulled that off--the director said 'cut' when the actor was about to be pushed over and then threw a dummy over the rail--it's edited so quickly it looks as though it's actually happening and you don't even figure out how they did it until the movie's over. Chilling.

  • do you know where I can find the movie in French, or English or with subtitles (French or english)

sorry if my english is bad

  • I played the computer game first and read the book second. The book was better.

BTW, This used to be called ten little niggers then ten little indians and now finally and then there were none.

  • this used to be called ten little indian boys then some natives got offended cuz they aren't indian so they changed the name to "and then there were none"

  • the Russian movie "Desyat Negrityat" is that film based on the book.

    please answer

i have a big exam about the book and then there were none.

    pls answer

  • Yes, the movie is completely accurate to the book.

  • No your wrong. This video is accurate.

The ending you just wrote is from the play. This is based on the BOOK'S ending. In the book, Vera shoots Lombard dead and hangs herself. Then the Judge writes his confession before shooting himself in the head.

  • hmmm im sorry then, i thouhgt this was the play.

  • thought*

  • I just received this movie today. Its great but does every copy of this movie got the subtitles out-of-sync and bad translated?

  • Yep. The DVD is FAMOUS for it's horrific subtitles...

  • I see... thanks for the info.

  • Very nice!

  • that was great

  • send this to me please!!!! if you can

  • send this to me please!!!! if you can

  • wow i read this book it was ahhhhhhmazing!!!! i never pictured it excactly like this, great job this helps alot!!

  • great video

can you send it to me?

  • It's great to see this up! Do you know how hard it is to find a fan video for ATTWN, never mind DN????? You should consider joining the AC forums some time!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have you seen DN? Also, regarding the AC forums, do you have a link I could follow?

  • Yes, and on the theartofmurder forums for the DN topic (which I stumbled across while googling it), your posts convinced me to see the movie, and I'm glad I did! It's the best adaptation of the book and also the creepiest--but I mean that in a good way.

As for the AC forums, just type in 'Agatha Christie' on your Google/Yahoo (or whatever search provider you use) search engine and click on the first link and you should know how to register from there. Hope that helps!

  • Oh, and once you're registered, don't forget to check out the 'And Then There Were None' topic in the Non-Series Books section on the Have Your Say boards!

  • Sorry, I forgot to mention this. I've joined up, but everytime I try to post, I get an error.
