Such a great sounding band when he did dance band numbers like this rather than the light orchestral ones that seem to crop up in the main on the UK HMV i come accross.

Weber recorded a superb arrangement here, cautiously keeping balance between true dance band style and a more classical concert style.

A lovely restful tune, so sweetly played. I love the bio of this urbane Galitzianer turned an American farmer. I can just see him on the farmhouse porch in a rocking chair, smoking a pipe and counting chickens.
