I've registered with 'Fibrecity' to take all their services when it comes to my town (Bournemouth, UK). I've had numerous probs with VM, 3 faulty set-top boxes, shit loads of phone calls to India to sort it and being threatened with a £25 penalty 'if I'm not at home when an engineer is sent'. Funny how I took a WHOLE afternoon off work and their bloody engineer didnt arrive when he was supposed to! And to cap it all, I've been unable to access my emails for the last 18 days - VM are CRAP!

Virgin Media are just not facing up to the reality that bandwidth caps fly completely in the face of modern internet usage. Legitimate online video services are now becoming quite common so 350mb over 8 hours is beyond even the poorest of jokes. Ok folks, here's the VirginMedia Broadband scam.

1. Get people to sign up

2. Give them 6 months of semi decent access.

3. After 6 months, reduce connection speeds to less than dial up.(Proven utilising 5 seperate connections, 1kbps most of the time)

4. This makes the consumer cancel their account.

5. Virgin claim "no 12 month contract"....wrong.

6. I'm sure you can work this one out....;)

Virgin Media is crap im still with it and it was better as ntl lost loads of channels my internet has slowed down and the setanta special offers ain't on virgin. Plus much more freezes and stuff on the tv. Think im gonna go 2 Sky Richard Bransons a twat.

I was with ntl before it changed to virgin media, and for most of the time ntl was at least consistent with its broadband speed and did the job. Since it changed to virgin media, its all crapped up. No sky1, but only thing i really miss is the simpsons. the broadband speed with virgin is hit & miss, we've got "20mb" broadband, but i swear we've never even got a 1/4 of that speed. facebook took about 10 minutes to load today and i honestly believe dial up would be faster then broadband
