  • I read some time ago that if you average 170 in tenpins, you'll probably average about 100 in duckpins. You'll score even lower playing candlepins. The highest score for candlepins that was recorded was 245 if I'm not mistaken.

  • Duckpin bowling live on!!!!!!

  • I'd love to open a duckpin center in NJ.

The reason duckpins is dying is the same reason 10 pin bowling is ... and it's not just the economy.

Everybody wants to score high without effort. If they can't score, rather than working on their game ... they quit.

10 Pins has lasted longer because they continuously pump out more advanced equipment, and lay down easier shots.

Today's scratch bowlers need to have 10 board swing area and average 230 to keep their egos going. Sad.

  • I wish they had duckpin or candlepin in Australia so I could give it a go. Tenpin is dying here compared to 10 to 20 years ago.

  • Sounds like a market opportunity!

  • That was edited really well and I'm not just blowing smoke here.

  • Are you known for blowing smoke? You seem like an honest guy to me, RTG.
