Yes, I quite agree with the other commenter; this is by far the best choral version of this piece that I've found so far! I'm so happy to have finally found a recording that uses mixed adult voices - I just don't feel that children or countertenors can give this piece the depth it requires. This recording has that depth, and I thank you for it!
Best recording out there...not quite the full adagio effect, but close enough. Excellent use of dynamics and blend. I love this approach of the "arch form" that Barber used to make this one of the most recognized pieces of music in the 20th century. I am recommending this recording to my closest friends for sure. Bravissimo!

This music has nothing to do with versions. The version fom the Elephant man is the best anyway.
