@meglee106 I am 10 years old and I started skating at 4 1/2. But I didn't have my flip and loop in 6 months! That is wonderful!

@meglee106 but its not all about the jumps and spins. DO you now there is test you have tp pass for MITF and freeestyle for certain levels

and the probably are not clean

@luv2ksate But still, learning those things so fast is an amazing accomplishment. Do work on your moves. I have passed my Novice MITF and will take my Junior in May. Then, only Senior will be left.

$775 for a dress is extremely expensive,can she win with a $70-$100 dress instead?

@quelita28 Sure, she could. But Gia happens to be one of the young ones in her level- a level that can qualify for the national championship- a level where the dresses are often very expensive. Senior ladies dresses can cost over $2,000. Also, Gia uses her dresses for 2 to 3 seasons. This yellow dress will be her long program dress this year in Intermediate. I think that having the custom dress is good and Gia skates differently in the beautiful dresses.

@iamawesome3121 They vary. The white one was $75. The yellow was $775 and was a custom creation. The rest are all in between. It isn't about how much it costs, it is about whether it fits and if you can use the dress to help express the music.

@Richele1528  Yes. This is her freeskating program for the year. She will compete the entire competition season with this particular freeskate program, changing a few things here and there, but mostly, it will be the same. That is the norm for all USFS competitive figure skaters.

@AndreaBungleJunle Well, for me, I have to make sure that my shoulders and head don't get ahead of my hips and legs. Make sure that you rotate as a whole, don't let your top half get ahead of your bottom half.

@PrincessonIce01 do splits off ice, but my coaches don't think my spirals are very good.

just a suggestion, try keeping your shoulders down when you jump, it will help you to engage the right core muscels by the way you were fabulous and i love the dress :)

@jordynheartsk8 I skate 18 to 20 hours per week and don't do a lot of off ice, except for PE, which is very serious at my school. I swim at school, play on a basketball team, play on a volleyball team, run a mile, play on a soccer team, play lacrosse, etc... during the year.

i love your dress!!! it really suits you :) i just wondered - have you ever had problems with your tights? I am thinking of getting some over boot ones but my friend advised me to stick with the ones that go under the skate instead of over the top as they can slip off your skate during programs especially if you trip over and slide on the ice
