I loved this movie. The only complaints I had were:
1. They didn't use the original opening monologue. When it started, I started to tear up, but I saw that they didn't use the original opener and I stopped.
2. Tom Kenny as Rabbit.
3. Christopher Robin doesn't look like the one from my childhood.
Other than that, it is an excellent movie. The best movie I have seen all year.
Oh my god! I want to see this! My only worry is that it might be too much like the search for christopher robin, which was okay, but a little too sappy. I looked up the plot on disney.com, and it seemed quite similar. Ripping off a direct-to-video sequel? Fail. But, who knows. I might just be a dumbass.
I'm debating whether or not to import this movie. Mexico already has the blu-ray and I imported from there before. There's nobody I know who would see this with me, and going to the theater is almost as costly as importing it.
If Pooh was really "Baby-ish" we would never have remembered him so well. This is nostalgic for me, and I didnt even really watch the shorts too much when I was little.
i think theres a story behind the pooh doll used in the film one of the original animators or someone like that had his wife make that pooh and he brought it to uncle walt to use in the original but it was to late
all these years later the wife of the animator has died and the animators son
finds the pooh doll in their attic so it was used in the film
@chewymoogle i have a pencil pouch with winnie the pooh and some other characters on it! my sister uses it a school :) "baby" things are always in with us teens. it's weird XD
@sammybrownio haha yeah. I would love to direct a hand-drawn feature myself. I'm just so obsessed with Animation in general, I hold no bias. And I've done some 3D stuff and it takes a long time to build a decent model in the computer and a lot of skill for that. Not to mention animation is about performance.
@ajmrowland Yeah I've done some short animations on the computer and it can take a while. I plan on trying to create at least one hand drawn movie when I'm older though.
where can you get the stuffed animals?

It had to be Zooey opening the movie. Good grief.
realar 7 months ago
DOES ANYONE LIKE CHOIRS ANYMORE?! Seriously, one person's voice can't hold up the opening of a Pooh film.
realar 7 months ago
@realar They "kind of" had a "choir" in some of the songs, but it sounded.....not really.....it's not classy. =/
But I like Zooey! I have no problem with her. =)
christopheramba 7 months ago
@christopheramba She's an actress, she isn't known for her singing.. mostly.
realar 7 months ago
@realar All I just said was I like her...
christopheramba 7 months ago
@realar But she still obtained a music career. Just not as pronounced as other actors.

I hate it when people call Pooh "baby-ish" or girlly..
These legends have given me so many brilliant memories from my childhood :')

Good to see normal animation instead of that CGI :D
sammybrownio 8 months ago 46
@sammybrownio And CGI is actually more normal these days. They're both normal animation as they involve animating.

@ajmrowland Not in my book sir

@sammybrownio Well, we all have our preferences. Actually My interest started with 2D and just grew.
ajmrowland 7 months ago
@ajmrowland Yeah thats cool x] Video games and stuff are neat in CGI, I just prefer movies hand drawn.
