The only reason he can get past the home-build thing with the Ultima is that Ultima Sports is a British company. He's somewhat accepting of Fords, but has wound-back most compliments on the only American car he's had anything good to say about, and that's the ZR1. He's overtly biased against home-build cars and American cars - the GTM is both.

@obamaFTWlol Any LS-series engine does just fine in a GTM, but one producing around 500Hp is as much as you'd ever want or need for the road, and it's cheaper to make 500 Hp with an LS376 - rather than an LS7. For comparison, a GTM with a stock LS6 should have a reasonable performance advantage over a LS9-engined ZR1 Corvette - with a similar top speed.

yeah thats whats been said, any lotus's are purists cars, but honestly i would like a good sound system and and ac/heat that put out more air than just a babies cough... and with a moderate interior. but i love lotus's , however for the money...id get one of these

That would be insane. no it probably wouldnt maintain traction, and you would probably get wheel spin at 70mph. but stock you could probably get larger width tires and better rubber.

I have no idea what the tires that come with the kit are, but i would get some avons, like on the ariel atom.

This uses covette drivetrain so i can imagine you could use a twin turbo kit and tuning to get at least 750hp.

you should shoe horn in an AMG v12 bi turbo. That get above 1000 NM of torque and kill almost every tansmition.

the Lotus is an established lightweight car. It aint no kitcar. There are endless possabilities in the Lotus Elise or Exige. Its been called the best handling car in the world for many years... So there is no contest really. go for the Lotus.
